FYI knowing who a particular figure is historical or otherwise, is no indication of a person's intelligence whatsoever.
I could list off dozens of footballers from 1985 that not many people could, it means naff all. Now if you could write an essay in answer to a question such as this: Who can be described as tallest amongst Mahatma Gandhi Aurobindo Ghosh Swami Vivekanand and Swami Dayanand in Indian history? now that would be an indication of intelligence. |

What people can be forgiven for though is taking umbrage about people not knowing the most rudimentary of things about us because it is important.
