Sam is the worse winner ever. I even prefer Rachel Ricen to him! :joker::joker:

Unfortunately it is the same silly thing that happens with the like of the X Factor, teenage girls vote for whoever they think is 'fit', regardless of how boring they are & teenage girls are by far the majority of viewers/voters :idc:

I just hope that when they look back in a few years time, that they are thoroughly ashamed of themselves :nono:

Yes he did deserve to win, he got the most votes. That's how it's decided who wins.

Erm no, that just means he got the most votes, it doesn't mean he DESERVED to win! :joker:

Do you not understand how votes work? It goes on who the majority pick not what FlamingGalah thinks.

Your opinion is your opinion and if you think Dexter was a better candidate for being a winner then it's totally your right, but you can't enforce it on the majority who obviously disagree with you.

The average fat teenage girl could only dream of getting someone like him, they love a mop of hair like Harry Styles :joker:

DanaC 20-08-2013 11:27 AM

These sideways swipes at those who voted for Sam are getting tiresome. Dismissing all those who voted for him as 'teenage girls' who thought he was 'fit' (or the sympathy vote because he was disabled, please people, be consistent) is unpleasant and insulting to those of us (myself included) who ended up voting for him in the final.

I am not a teenage girl. I didn't vote for him because I thought he was fit. Nor did I vote for him out of sympathy.

I, a middle aged woman, voted for Sam, because I liked him as a housemate. He grew on me over the second half of the show, beginning with his support for Callum when he was being targeted and continuing through the rest of the show as we got to see a little more of his charm and humour.

Sam won, because people voted to save him on the night. People voted to save him on the night because they thought he was the worthiest of the finalists to win. A blanket dismissal of all those who did so as either sheep who were persuaded to do so because BB has some design on crowning disabled champions, or as teenage girls (as if they are somehow sillier than teenage boys, incidentally a rather sexist idea) is very disrespectful.

How many of Dex's voters fancied him? How many of Gina's voters fancied her?

If Dan had survived and won the show would we be hearing now how BB had shuffled the pack to make sure a gay man won? or that he could only have won because so many gay men fancied him?

Get a grip.

You don't seem to understand the point I was making...

I'm not talking about votes, obviously Sam got more votes, I said Sam didn't DESERVE to win, as he didn't do much in the house, I found him boring, he spent the first 9 weeks lying in bed, sometimes talking about fanny...

Do you understand that, or do I need to draw pictures for you? :joker:

And I'm not enforcing anything on anyone, just voicing MY opinion :xyxwave:

You found him boring. I did not. That you don't think he was a worthy winner is fine. But you were stating as fact that he didn't deserve it and offering as proof the fact that you didn't find him interesting.

Vanessa 20-08-2013 11:32 AM

Not my cup of tea i'm afraid. And i don't think he's nice either. He's just a Callum clone.

Awwwwwww please don't patronise me or I'll cry.

You've got bitterness coming out of you all over to the point of claiming fat teenage girls are responsible for your man not winning.

karezza 20-08-2013 11:34 AM

I still hate Rachel Rice.

Well obviously it is my opinion dear, no need to get your knickers in a twist...

He won, you should be happy, not getting yourself all worked up :joker:

smeagol 20-08-2013 11:36 AM

Well you didn't understand my point, that isn't being patronising...

I'm not bitter at all, it's only a TV for goodness sake! :joker:

I merely pointed out that I didn't believe he deserved to win, he did win so you should be happy, I'm not unhappy :xyxwave:

Not bitter so you pinned the blame on Sam's victory to fat teenage girls who like floppy haired men, aye alright then. :joker:

I am happy he won. I'd also have been happy to see Dex or Gina win.

But if someone I disliked, like Jackie Travis had won I would not now be all over the forums claiming she did not deserve it, or that the game had been fixed, or that she only won because young gay men (like Rylan) had come out in droves to vote for her, or that she only won because she was the oldest in the house and got the sympathy vote.

Come and take a good look at me pal, you'll realise I'm neither fat nor a teenage girl and I don't fancy men.

Kinda spoils your demographics a little though....
