I really don't know what this country has come to when a young girl who boasts about ****ting and pissing herself is perfectly acceptable... She's a disgusting disgrace of a woman

I think slut is way too strong, I won't argue about the trashy part, she would admit herself she is is no role model but I don't understand why people say horrible things about her, shes hurting nobody and she is actually a very, very sweet person but that is just my opinion obviously :D

It was really really disgusting. It was bad enough it happened but she had to go and tell everyone and show it to them. Vile and horrible. I could hardly watch it. And there was red on the sheet also. Probably the worst thing of the series so far. I was giving her a chance but she was totally legless and nobody could act that bad. But Carol was slating her when Carol herself was almost as bad as that a few nights ago. Pot Kettle and Black

She's not physically hurting anybody... But there's young impressionable girls watching her obnoxious behaviour who are going to think her behaviour is acceptable... The very fact that there are people in this thread defending her proves my point!

I get you finding it disgusting and fully agree with the carol comment BUT- in a house like that how could she have kept it secret? Things like this are easier (or at least to the person experiencing them) to just come out with because then at least it's in their hands (or bladder, as it were).

Considering how unnecessarily rude and intolerant some people are being I don't think you could morally be surprised or upset at people defending her. Nobody deserves to be called a slut IMO.

Charlotte is a disgusting creature and a poisonous role model. She is also very fake.

I am probably one of those people you mean, I have watched her show from the start so I would have been about 13 probably and I have never aspired to be like anyone from the show apart from maybe dress like them, I dont watch and think its cool to piss myself or suck boys off. That's a bit of a silly argument in my opinion, like when people claim young kids watching horror movies will end up killng people. :idc:

Tozzie 27-08-2013 11:38 PM

I haven't read through this whole thread because its massive but hecky thump I find it hard to believe that anyone really thought that was for real. She was not even drunk, her falling out of the bed appeared to me to be completely put on, as was the bed wetting. Sometimes I do like her because her soft side comes out but oh dear, I think if she is peeing the bed after a small amount of alcohol the girl needs to see a doctor.

Well, she couldnt have guaranteed it would be kept a secret from us (as BB could have shown this) but she could have quietly took herself off to the DR to let BB know, who would then close the bedroom to sort it I assume. Instead she acted like it was something to be proud of? :S

I retracted my slut comment.. I'll agree it's maybe a bit strong.
But yes, I am surprised at people defending her behaviour.

It's awful.. I wouldn't let a young teen watch it! It's definitely adult viewing.

EXACTLY Vicky this is just what I was going to post. She broadcastd it to everyone straight away. She could have waited till they left the room or just put the duvet over it, gone for a shower and dealt with it later

Jack_ 27-08-2013 11:58 PM

Right, here's my take on her and the situation.

I don't watch Geordie Shore...never have done, and don't really have any intention to (at the minute anyway), but I have an understanding of what the show is about and it doesn't bother me in the slightest, nor can I understand why it would bother anybody else? First of all it's tucked away on a subscription channel at like 10pm so what happens on the show is hardly being broadcast on BBC1 at 7pm...

But I want to make this clear. All of the people on Geordie Shore are paid to do what they do, and as it's a scripted reality show...they are, for the most part, told what to do, because effectively they're playing characters and being paid to do so. In which case I have a big issue with some members on here thinking it's 'hilarious' for Carol, who is a fifty-something year old woman, to get trashed on a mainstream TV channel when she's not being paid to do that (and is just being paid to go into the house, what she does in there is her own choice)...yet if Charlotte does the same thing on a subscription channel where she is being paid to get absolutely battered she's a 'common tramp'? That is ageist, there's no disputing that I'm afraid. I've no issue with Carol or Charlotte getting trashed, they can act as they wish and I found Carol's drunken behaviour the other night hilarious...but it's not one rule for one person and another for someone else. Either you think they're both terrible (not sure why would you would but that's a separate debate entirely) or you think they're both hilarious.

Now...on a different note, why is sexual promiscuity looked down upon so much? This really pisses me off, especially because of the latent sexism that often comes from it too, as if guys decide to sleep around they're suchalad but if a girl dares to engage in the same behaviour she's a 'slut', '*****', 'slag'...I mean these are just warped, stereotypical and sexist beliefs. I'm really not sure why it's something that's looked down upon...if someone that's single wishes to sleep with lots of other single people for whatever reason...why does that concern you? Basically...it doesn't, it's none of your business and quite frankly it makes no difference to their character. If they were sleeping with people that were in relationships then sure, there's a problem...but if everyone involved is single? Then...um...live and let live and keep your judgemental, outdated thoughts to yourself.

Having said that Charlotte is in a relationship and as StupidHoe has already explained seeing as she watches the show (hello, surely we should listen to a viewer over anyone else?) that the 'I want cock in every orifice' was a joke...and quite frankly without even having to watch Geordie Shore when that clip appeared in her launch night VT it was quite obvious she was joking, she has a crude sense of humour...surely that's blindingly obvious? Not that there's anything wrong with that either, plenty of comedians make a living off the back of crude sense of humours...Julian Clary...former CBB winner anyone?

As for the pissing herself/faking being drunk thing, I wasn't really sure whether I believed Carol at first because let's face it, they all have agents and as she's known as a character on Geordie Shore that is paid to get off her face every night, she's got a duty in her agents eyes to live up to that persona, which if it is the case is quite saddening really...though of course I guess if she didn't like doing it she'd just quit the show. The most important thing to me is that she doesn't seem like a nasty person so all of this bile that's been spouted about her (based upon her actions in a scripted reality show that barely anyone that's commenting negatively about her seems to have seen) appears to be really unwarranted to me. She seems a nice girl and if she does have to play up to this 'pissed girl' act, then well that's just that I'm afraid...

If it wasn't an act however and after she wet the bed I think it's difficult to argue that it was, then um...lots of people have wet themselves when intoxicated, you don't have a lot of control over your bladder when you reach a certain point of drinking a lot of alcohol. Yes it's not very nice but ffs it's embarrassing enough as it is for the person so I don't think taking the piss out of her is very nice, do you? And before someone inevitably comes here and says 'well she thinks it's hilarious and boasts about it', I've two replies; firstly that's a character that she has to live out in the public eye as I've already explained, and secondly if it isn't, do you not think that it could be a defence mechanism to cover her embarrassment about a potential bladder problem that she has? It's not different to like falling over and laughing it off to hide your embarrassment, it's pretty much the same concept.

I really wish people would:

A) Either drop the double standards, Carol can't be 'hilarious' and Charlotte a 'tramp' when they're both doing the same thing
B) Drop the unnecessary bile that's being spewed about the place, I'd be less bothered if she was actually this evil bitch but clearly she's not
C) Understand that she is either having to portray a character that she's known as and paid for or has a genuine problem that shouldn't be mocked

[/end]

I do wonder if its the very younger end of the CBB viewing public who think Charlotte is great though. It would be interesting to know the ages of people who think she is so fab. I'm a, lets say, mature bugger who finds her rather common mostly and as I've mentioned before I am a little prudish. I wonder if I was 17 in this day and age would I find her great. Hmmmmmmmmm

I'm around Carols age and I think Carol is making a complete fool of herself. I like a drink myself but I would NEVER show myself up on national television like she is doing, I've barely seen her sober!

halfacrown 28-08-2013 12:08 AM

Charlotte is a victim of her own yucky image, she already seems uncomfortable with it herself. But let's be honest, it's all she's got.

I don't understand people having a problem with Charlotte being called a slut, it's not a very strong word and can, in fact, mean an untidy person. Pishing in the bed is definitely untidy, so she is indeed a slut.

Julian clary is an awful comedian and a very cold miserable housemate. Predictable crass and totally unengaging. I don't recall any fun moments with him in the house. The best comic they've had was the great jack dee, he was simply superb.

the truth 28-08-2013 01:36 AM

In big brother land men who cheat get a far harder time than women, just look at daley who was crucified....However theres a few reasons womens promiscuity has been viewed differently to men....the truth is men have in general much higher sex drives and their desire is far more simple and straightforward, they want sex....for women their libidos are generally lower and more sporadic and dependent on far more external factors....this actually allows women to control who when and what sex will happen....This control gives them power, with power comes responsibility. So the fact that the sex question is ultimately always decided by women means they are judged because they make the final decision. so they are judged on this as they have the power. just as a man is more harshly judged if there is any hint of violence in a relationship, simply because he is stronger and he holds the power. things are not equal because men and women are not equal they are different. equal opportunities yes fantastic, equality means nothing

biological and cultural fact....no doubt the radical liberals will now disagree, call me a dinosaur with a limp dick ,tell is up is down and the moon is a balloon lol

Amy Jade 28-08-2013 01:46 AM

Daley got crucified?

I beg to differ, he got the easy way out, Hazel was literally getting so much hate after that and she did nothing wrong, she was single. Daley was the cheat but people blamed Hazel a lot more, people on twitter and fb were utterly vile about her.

because she tried to break up a relationship and also because she did tecnially violate him by attempting to forcibly remove his pants to humiliate him. the context of what she did was crass and mean. but daley was rightly booted as he lost his rag and wasn't as intelligent as her. she exploited him and his limitations. she stayed and had 4 weeks to redeam herself and enhance her career. shes done very well out of it all....daley is seen as a bit of a psycho and lost his GF and was ejected....so the man got way worse end of it and ultimately they were both doing the wrong thing

smeagol 28-08-2013 06:42 AM

The pretending to be drunk is just really really pathetic. and keep falling out of bed . sneaky and sad . she is a disgusting grose tramp
shame as if she was just her normal have fun self she'd be ok just lose the disgusting bit and fakeness
