This is kinda long and taken from another site. It's about Alex Rockwell, you probably have never heard of her, but her story is sad and at the same time inspiring.

that's heartbreaking.

I know, I was in tears by the end. Things we take for granted were such a struggle for her, and instead of feeling sorry for herself she wanted to be a role model in a way and inspire others.

My friend's mum lost a sister to cystic fibrosis, it's a truly awful condition...

I've only really started looking into it after I read about Alex, I also found out that because so many children get it, and since they find the name of CF difficult to pronounce. It's kinda also known as 65 Roses (it kinda sounds like it).

And so the rose has become a symbol for the illness.

i didn't know that. it's very clever. but so sad.

She learned about photography from her father, but lost touch with him when her parents divorced

It was only after a heart-attack saw him hospitalized that Kim’s father agreed to seek treatment for his condition
