If it does get 80+ mph (which I doubt) the safest place you could be would be in your house. The danger will be to the people on the roads. The winds right now are 40mph here, and unless you look out the window you wont even notice it.

You having a laugh I remember back in 2000 we had a massive storm and our windows (double glazing) got put out of joint.

My flat is being renovated and the windows are like wafer thin.
