..they will keep him in a coma until the swelling has gone down, which may take a while because of the surgery..just to relieve the trauma to the brain and then see what the damage is..and then I guess it'll be whether he can awake from the coma...that'll be his real fight but he is fighting, Eoin.....and we all know what a determined guy he is ...

Statement from Ferrari:

There are hours of concern for everyone at Ferrari since he heard about the incident with Michael Schumacher. In particular, the president Luca di Montezemolo, including through the Scuderia's team principal Stefano Domenicali, is in constant contact with family and those close to the German champion, to whom he wanted to send a thought of sympathy and encouragement in such a difficult time with hope to have better news soon - See more at: http://formula1.ferrari.com/it/news/....Qpf9MDSg.dpuf

in a case like this no update is a good thing

smudgie 30-12-2013 01:33 PM

He will probably be kept in the induced coma until the swelling in his brain improves.
Might be a few days before we know what's what.

Hope he is okay.

No its not. The longer you're in an induced coma the less likely a full recovery.

Gstar 30-12-2013 01:46 PM

hope he's okay :( this also goes to show how important it is to wear a helmet in whatever you're doing
