I agree, I don't understand why they would even give him any recognition if they were so against him living, his family are probably delighted about it, I think I remember seeing in one of the documentaries that they don't actually feel any sadness if a family member dies because they believe they are just in heaven.

...tbh, I don't understand why they would go to that expense, it's not as if it's the 'death' of the Westboro Church and to celebrate the death of someone who cruelly celebrated deaths just seems all wrong...

I agree we should not celebrate this mans death rather instead mourn his hateful wasteful life

'But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.'

Such a pity that as a Christian, he didn't adhere to that doctrine himself.

Not sure I understand the outpouring of reasonableness following this man's death. I'm not saying people should be putting out the flags but personally I'm glad he's dead. Maybe the loved ones of the troops and the gay people whose funerals he and his dickhead friends picketed will be having a little celebration, and seriously, who could blame them? He was a bigot who preached hate and the world is a better place now he's not infesting it any longer. Whatever next, a remembrance thread for Hitler? After all, he was a human being. Right?

Meh, he was a terrible human being and I wouldn't waste a thought on him when he was alive and much less now that he is dead.

Me neither. But I can understand the joy of the people whose loved ones' funerals he and his cronies picketed.

We had a state funeral for a war criminal, so nothing surprises me now...
Hopefully his indoctrinated family can learn to integrate now without this oppressor.

What has that got to do with this topic, exactly? Nothing at all.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Plenty, when the hand wringers were pleading with those who were glad the mad ol bint was dead there were calls to 'think of the family'.... is that not applicable here?

You could have just asked me to explain instead of being so presumptuous.

This thread isn't about Margaret Thatcher and she has no bearing at all on this thread. You can't just turn everything into an anti-Tory rant.

First class post, pretty much sums up my feelings on this as well.
Well put Livia.
