You need to show a bit more respect to authority young man

I don't think it is fair to say no suggestions get listened to.

They do get listened to and discussed. Not all suggestions will get added to the forum. Some have and some haven't. Admin have to make that call, we may not always like it but it's their call at the end of the day.

Do I think more could be done to improve this forum? Yes.

Do I think it is fair to say that they do nothing. No.

I'm worryingly looking at both sides of the argument, who would be bothered enough to make spam posts just to raise their post count in C+G? and actual post count shows a persons dedication to the forum through the days-months-years they've been on.. not understanding the "elitist" comment, just sounds like toys out of the pram.

With the whole implementing new things, I get the feeling a lot of things are unreasonably said no to without even trials, such as the like button, but in the grand scheme of things it's a forum and we can post and debate without "gimmicks"

The thing is Reece, giving things like the like button a trial still takes time implementing it into the forum software so if it's something that we think will be pretty pointless and be unused after the initial excitement for it then we wont bother wasting time adding it in the first place.

Moaning for the sake of it, as if anyone thinks they're superior to others based on post count. That's for sure something I've never seen on the forum.

 Thinking the worst as usual, did you get a tarot reading that told you people would eventually stop using it or something?

GypsyGoth 25-04-2014 10:28 PM

:eureka:

How about posts in chat & games get taken away from your post count? :amazed:

Could you point us to a recent incident please?

Fair enough but if there's a demand for "it", whatever the feature would be, then it could be worked upon in small doses and trialled at a later date. Trial and error is part of life, nothing would have to be rushed... but I think this discussion isn't relevant to the thread so I'll cease there

Surprised that a like button isn't being used considering the main theme of this forum

Not thinking the worst at all, I was giving Reece an example of why we don't trial every single suggestion that someone makes..

Adding to what I said in my post above, this forum already has a lot of modifications and code that James has written himself for things that members don't always see, so implementing other ones can also be very tricky or time consuming.

T* 25-04-2014 10:33 PM

WHAT. I'm not even going to ask, I'm really fed up now.

Jessica. 25-04-2014 10:34 PM

Do basically you are saying that admin don't know how to do most things? :joker:

It happens all the time. How many times have you seen a relatively new member having their post picked to shreds by someone with a high post count?

Plenty of people have said it is intimidating being new on TiBB. Why do you think that is.
