Don't hate him anywhere near as much as some do. His 2011-12 season>>anything we have seen from Shinji for example, but one is loved and the other hated. Meh.

He was only good at the start of the 2011-12 season. Since then he's done nothing.

Kagawa, whilst not setting the world alight, hasn't been played in his preferred position. Has been wasted out wide. Also had to contend with a manager who was seemingly dead set against him and barely knew a thing about him.

Why's it stupid?

Good appointment really; plays the sort of football they'd like, is a young promising manager, has got the best out of his team, and can drawn on international experience while he has also excelled in the Prem so far so he's not as much of an unknown quantity as someone like De Boer
