This isn't a new thing the 2 weeks in hiding really ended in 2001.

Lynne BB3 wasn't even in hiding, she went in the day after she sat some exam and Anouska BB4 was in hiding for like 4 days I think.

Yes it does differ. Davina used to say I think where the housemates had gone to for hiding for 2 weeks, but the housemates always used to say different things. Davina claimed that the housemates of BB5 went into hiding in Belgium for 2 weeks but Victor said just the other day he went into hiding in a different country, unless he himself wasn't quite sure...
