I get that she's being blamed for being the power housemate and Chris is getting away scot free but why say she was going to keep it a secret in the first place?

It didn't come as a surprise to Chris that Jale told Daneille and Ashleigh. He said in the diary room that she was 'emotionally weak' and he was expecting her to tell someone. Chris is in there with her 24/7 and seems to be a good judge of character. That would explain also why she didn't stand up to being bullied.
It's not as if she told the whole house - she just told those who she was closest to. You'd think she had killed someone the way she is now being vilified. I'm not so fickle as to damn her for one bad judgement. I may yet go off her but it will take more than one mistake...

I will say that I was let down by Jale last night but I do agree it was just a silly thing she did, nothing major.
I think some people are using it to somehow justify her being bullied in the past week.
Nothing can make what Pauline & her gang did look anything but nasty & unacceptable.
I do feel that maybe now Jale should start to stand up for herself a bit more.

I've got to agree, Tarryn. I voted yes, I had gone off her. But not completely. I feel the same as you. I was let down, but she's got a way to go to be as awful as a lot of them in there.

Iggy 18-06-2014 12:30 PM

yeah, I have to say it HAS made me go off her, I didnt like her when she went in, and then of course no one likes to see someone treated badly so I felt sorry for her and also thought she was handling the abuse well...

BUT...I really like Chris, and she did throw him to the lions there, as others have said, she knows what its like in there...and as Chris himself said, she had something she could use to ingratiate herself more into the house and she didnt hesitate...

I love Chris and for that reason alone, I now want Jale out on Friday

Chris is my fave HM but that doesn't mean I automatically dislike someone if they make a bad judgement that involves him. I wouldn't call Danielle and Ashleigh 'lions' exactly...
Tell me, do you think Chris was right not to stand up for Jale when she was being bullied? He was the only male that she was friends with really. Maybe she feels she doesn't have to loyal to him for that reason.
I would have liked him to have tackled Helen and Pauline about it, but it didn't put me off him that he didn't. As I say...one bad judgement call....

Anyway, welcome to the fray Iggy! :wavey:

Iggy 18-06-2014 12:53 PM

Point taken...when it comes to Chris not standing up to Helen etc, I guess I had never thought of that..perhaps he should but there is a difference between not getting involved and direct;ly causing an action...

and Danielle and Ashleigh are not the lions, but we all know even out here in the real world, you tell one person something many others will know in a matter of minutes, she knew when she told Ashl and Danni that it was going to go all over the house...

Yeah, a bad judgement call it was, but it was an action to make herself more popular..thats what I think anyway :)

You could well be right there - and that is understandable given the treatment she was getting. I still like her so far, but we'll see how she is in the next few days.

Iggy 18-06-2014 01:09 PM

yes it is understandable, and although Id like to think I wouldnt, I may have done the same myself, its a strong pull to be liked and accepted and a part fo the in crowd....very powerful...

agreed, lets she how she goes on for the next few days, but ive got my eye on her ;)

Ammi 18-06-2014 01:11 PM

..we all have our eye on her now, Iggy..:fist:...

..and welcome to the forum btw, you've made some interesting points....

Great post jet.
I am more disappointed with her than seeing it as being nasty.
She has had a rough ride in there so far, I am prepared to wait and see a lot more before I would myself change my view of her, she is one of my top 2 female housemates and there she stays for now.

Lex 18-06-2014 02:29 PM

Definitely!!...Can't say that she was particularly 'likeable' before...but the way that she showed that she was willing to throw one of the very-few hm's that has treated her fairly "under the bus" in order to try and garner a few brownie-points from the mob, has made me put her a lot higher on my siht-list!!....Nasty and calculating!!

Nedusa 18-06-2014 02:33 PM

No.............I was never on her to start with.

Since when were Danielle and Ashleigh a 'mob'?

They've both been up Paulines backside all the way through the series...so even if you consider their wall-flower act makes them different from the gobby ones...do you really think that Jale thought that it would go no further??? :smug: ...so yes!..."the mob" was right!

Will. 18-06-2014 03:02 PM

Why are people taken this so seriously, she hasn't been rude or nasty, she has just got something off her chest, which she found it hard not to keep a secret. Anyway she told 2 housemates that won't kick off or probably tell anyone. Jale ha been through a lot of bullying in that house and probably is a bit of an emotional wreck.

I have no idea what she thought as I'm not living inside her head. :smug:

In many cases it's a way to justify the bullying behaviour of Helen and Pauline towards her.
