What's wrong with somebody being dishonest in an attempt to win a gameshow?

God knows, apparently everybody needs to be 100% honest and truthful and must reveal everything about themselves

She wasn't trying to win. She was trying to promote herself as a particular character to make more money out of her sleazy line of work.

She could have tried to at least reach 10% levels of honesty.

She said she models, she said she's a webcam girl and she was open about her faith..

She didn't. It was revealed to them.

Yes, I know. You know full well she is fraudulent and you cheer her on and defend her anyway.

One of the many reasons I think people give up on this show. You can be the most obvious arsehole and still get defended as though the truth isn't the truth

Yup, I love it.. I don't get so invested into the characters that I feel the need to hate housemates/scrutinise their every move on the outside

I don't like Danielle although I do think her eviction was unfair. Fake or not, the whole week of tasks was pretty much a direct target towards her. Why not reveal Helen's prostitute past? Kim's boyfriend talking on BOTS? Steven being broke? Nope, lets just make sure it's all negative stuff about Danielle.

I'm not defending her as I'm not fussed on her at all. But given her suspicious eviction and the targeting this week it hardly appears as fair and shows producer manipulation.

Danelle adopted a persona and took it into the BB house. She played that persona well.
Is BB a Gameshow? People keep saying it is. Therefore based on the gameshow theory Danelle played the BB game well. Annoyed and intregued the public at the same time.
Letting the outside info into the house is not normally part of the game. However that went out with crowd reaction. So a little more and a little more and next its complete interaction with public and answers mean prizes type thing.

Audence member 'Paul' is he now a celeb? All this really does is take our minds off every day life and all the real horrible stuff that real people/gangs etc do to one another.
T.V. gameshows -the hope and opiate to the public masses.

However the normal reaction to this is - BB forum -it has nothing to do with real life.

So the OP's origional objecting is in itself hypocritical. Life is being ingored by watching and absorbing BB is in a way living a false life. The main objection is the a BB HM was being false and got in to BB with a false act.

People very rarely actually think. Probably because they can't empty themselfves of old false beliefs and build up to see the world in new and interesting ways.

Ask any criminal any bully any saint "Are you a good person" the answer is always the same 'Yes". The capacity for self to recognise being in the wrong seems almost non-existant. The same seems true for behaviour, we see behaviour that is bad but do not recognise that we are behaving in the way we identify bad.

Now that is off my chest and going nowhere - time to enjoy the only thing I truly own - the present time of now!

What is people's problems on here with housemates lying? So long as they contribute to the show and are entertaining that's all that's important, so who cares? It's a gameshow, it they want to lie so be it :shrug: I'm yet to discover why this is such a big issue, it's hardly the crime of the century...it's a bloody TV show

Still trying to work out why big brother didn't keep classy Danielle in, seeing they no longer have their precious showmance to dominate the highlight show.:shrug:

All she had to do was "open it" to get everyone talking.

But she herself hasn't given any real interesting talking points. The showmance stuff is horrid and the majority of it has been about how 'controlling' Steven is. And 'open it', again, came from Steven.

I hated Danielle at first. I'm Scottish and she made me really embarrassed but I grew to love her. I think since Kim walked then they should have canceled the new HM decision or should bring Danielle back at some point.
