Hold on a minute ,when have I ever asked someone to defend my opinions? i can do that very nicely on my own ,I speak alone ,I'm an individual I dont hound in packs

He wasn't saying you had asked, he was implying the opposite

Very true.
Is it lazy to be economical?

This is what he said

A reason for that too, is that employers avoid by all subtle means to in the main take on 'overweight' employees.

Many overweight people do seek work and apply for endless jobs, only to get the thank you for attending letter but on this occasion you have been unsuccessful.

I learned something else I didn't know a few years ago, someone was diagnosed with diabetes, needing insulin, they had to be on a high dose of insulin due to other conditions too.

They found their weight increased considerably, however apparantly insulin can increase weight.
That was the reason.
There are many reasons why people may be overweight and not all are as black and white as to just laziness.

Very often, there may be and indeed likely are other medical reasons for the problem, something else Katie Hopkins would never even consider.

White Dee is a perfect example of what Katie talks about.

First she went off work because she had depression over her Mum passing away and I agree she deserves help after that, I'd be a mess too. The problem is the hand out lifestyle is pretty appealing and after a while on it she got comfortable letting others pay for her to live and what annoys me is, she smokes like a chimney. Smoking should be a luxury.

I don't believe for one minute katie believes all what she says to the extent she says, it's all done for effect and attention...which she is clearly getting..

I work in recruitment in a fairly deprived area if Manchester, Salford, and a lot of people who are long term unemployed DO want to work but jobs are sparse plus to earn a decent wage commensurable with the benefits they get is nigh on impossible....a lot of people would be far worse off in a job than not .....that's not their fault it the economy and benefit system they have become entrenched in.

Surely they would be mentally better off though even If they earned less in a job as long as they can afford to pay their bills, rent ect then having a job is the best thing for them.

My advice is if the job doesn't pay as much as your benefits then get in there kiss arse and work your way up the company.

She may be a true Bitch but that is exactly the reason she has been handsomely paid to appear on CBB.

She may turn out to be TV gold but I think she will not find the "victims" she seeks to ridicule from the other HM . They all look a decent bunch.

A decent bunch, the usual z-list, with a few exceptions, of the brainless, insecure barbie dolls incapable of doing anything other than believe the world is focused on their boobs.

Katie was certainly right when she said Chloe's boobs were the full extent of Chloe. Nothing more to her than that - big deal. The tatooed one with her boobs hanging out is not much better. BB has no real imagination. Same ol, same ol.

I'm talking long term unemployed though....they have their rents paid, council tax paid etc etc....they would not be able to survive and pay their bills

Define "some" and "lots" quantify what you mean...

..would they though..?..so they would be worse off/struggle more/have less/worry more about paying bills etc..I can't see that as adding anything positive to someone's life mentally....for me I think it's more about paying decent wages so people aren't worse off and giving them some feeling of self worth in the work place...

Ammi 09-01-2015 06:29 AM

..also what I don't like about Katie Hopkins is that she just feeds into all of the negative media stereotypes...ughhhh, unemployed people/chavvy etc/don't help themselves..well no, unemployment could happen to anyone, whatever their job, whoever they are...and obese people/disgusting/they need to eat less biscuits and exercise more because I can do it/yay me...well yes, because you don't have the life that they have and don't know the reasons why they may be obese, whether physical or psychological so aren't you lucky, Katie...and the difference with her and say a comedian who may say similar things as she does is that what they're saying is...this is all fairly rubbish so let's just try to laugh at ourselves because we can't change certain things while she is scathing, critical, judgemental and saying that what she says is truth...and yet she's so above everyone because she makes a living and a great income through making people feel even worse than they do already about themselves and scoffing at their misfortunes and unhappiness/worries....

jennyjuniper 09-01-2015 08:26 AM

Regarding fat people and the unemployed, it's true that there are many unemployed who would love to work, given the chance and there are overweight people who are overweight due to glandular problems, medication etc., Unfortunately there are also many who are fat, lazy and want to live at the taxpayers expense.
Those who are fat and lazy or alcoholics or drug takers are encouraged to continue their selfish lifestyles by a government that pays them to continue to drink, stuff their faces or take drugs. Why stop when all you have to say is 'I can't work because I'm an alcoholic, drug dependant or too fat to work'?
Before any of you jump on me for being unsympathetic, I was/am an alcoholic, who has been dry for the past 22 years. I'm not particularly strong willed, so if I can do it, so can they. It's hard at times and it takes a lot of self control, something sadly lacking in todays society of entitled individuals.

Perez made a very good point in a very subtle way, bringing up addiction in general to her. i could tell from the change of her voice and her eye contact that it did make her think.

Perez is very arrogant (and if he mentions the size of his dick again i might scream) but he is also somewhat thoughtful and has changed his ways. Atlas he is trying to be a more compassionate human being.

I think he can relate to her because he used to be known for being cruel and saying horrible things and enjoying the attention. It is an interesting dynamic between the 2 of them.

There are many many illnesses that can cause people to become over weight, as well as loads of medication.

Hopkins is a complete tool and to be honest I don't even know why we bother to mention her..
she needs to look in the mirror cause I'm sure we only do movember and not joweluary

ebandit 09-01-2015 08:57 AM

fat misdirection

I'm unemployed..............my favourite quip............'I'm too lazy to work'

I don't have much £ but plenty of what's most precious....time

some skinny people are thin 'cos their too lazy to sort food

I hear large people say 'I dont have time to eat healthy' lol...plenty of

time to eat!

I like katie..........before the show I had never heard of her........she does

herself proud saying it as it is/how she sees it
