Looking forward to the world champs prob second to the Olympics in athletics terms just hope team GB do well and there isn't too many drug stories overshadowing the compettion

Katarina Johnshon-Thompson, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Mo Farah, Greg Rutherford, Lynsey Sharp, Shara Proctor, Christine Ohuruogu, Tiffany Porter, Zharnel Hughes, Isobel Pooley, Dina Asher-Smith and all of our relay squads are all possible of getting medals although not all will.

Lots of people are using this as a stepping-stone towards Rio.

KJT and Jess Ennis Top 2 in the heptathlon going into today's evening session. Nick Miller, Laura Muir and Laura Weightman all safely qualified in their heats. Mark Dry, Kyle Langford and Michael Rimmer all failed to qualify.

eek @ KJT fouling all her long jumps. Theisen's about 100 points behind Ennis so it should be interesting. We'll see how much Theisen's high jump performance costs her.

It's definitely Jess's to lose now.

Hopefully KJT can come away with a medal in the individual long jump later in the week.

Alysia Montano fell in the 800 prelims :( quite a shame since she and Wilson (injured) were obviously very capable of making the finals and medaling. Looks like Martinez is the only American in. Ludlow's still eligible to qualify on time but I'm not counting on it, she's 5th out of 6th rn.

Not surprised about Goule fading badly though. She went out in 57.96 and died hard. That hasn't been working for her lately on the NCAA level so why did she think it'd work at worlds?

Good to see Taylor and Craddock make the TJ final. Dendy just missed out on finals on second best mark.

Congrats to Shauna Proctor getting a silver in womens long jump

Definitely still a lot of stuff going wrong for USA (Brenda Martinez not qualifying for the 800 final, Trey Hardee pulling out of the decathlon, pretty much everything hurdle related for both genders) but Allyson Felix had an awesome win the 400, Christian Taylor had an AMAZING triple jump and is now only 8 cm from the world record (and he gave up 11+ cm on the board), Ashton Eaton running a 10.23 and 45.00 (all-time best in a decathlon) and being only 20 or so points off of his WR from 2012, Tianna Bartoletta going from barely having the bronze medal to securing the gold on her last jump, and Aries Merritt getting a bronze medal despite being in desperate need of a kidney transplant.

Also, Dafne Schippers is the real deal. Damn.
