Well I respect your right to an opinion, we must have lived very different lives and have very different values if you consider Hopkins has been in any way "articulate", socially skilled or in control of herself. Take a step back, surely? Don't follow Perez around squawking, but take CONTROL of yourself woman!

Again, I have to disagree. I've yet to be "persuaded" by Hopkins' "articulate" "arguments" either in the house or the media. But clearly some people are. I'm just one of the millions who just see an awkward, obnoxious woman reading from a Murdochian script for a few shillings. I'd even go as far to say that she dumbs herself and her language down to maximise her pantomime villain appeal and make herself accessible to her fans and political bedfellows on the far right

Or she's a mixture of Virginia Woolf and Benazir Bhutto reincarnated and I'm wrong :laugh:

Please remember before voting for Katie Hopkins that she has probably insulted someone you love. She has made a living from making revolting comments on many types of people that she feels are beneath her and continues to look down her snooty nose at genuine, real people from all walks of life. I have not been taken in by her obvious P.R. stunt of trying to win the British public over. She has made numerous diary room conversations and in most of them she says how she loves the British public and hates all of "those bloody Americans in here", yet is friends with Michelle. (Although she apparently doesn't want to make friends, she was very unhappy when Katie Price suggested that she wouldn't see Michelle when she left the house). If she loves the British so much, why has she insulted overweight people choosing to ignore health, mental and financial reasons for their situation? If she loves the British public, why has she berated parents for choosing unique and individual names for their children? If she loves the British, why is she against the Government financially assisting parents of disabled children? I could go on and on but everything that spouts from this woman's mouth is clearly a loathing and bitter hatred of the general British public.

Not that they'd ever do it, but I think if you saw a Richard Littlejohn, Peter Hitchins or Jon Gaunt do this kind of thing THEN you'd see great orators and articulate, uncompromising, ruthless and successful people. It's debatable if Hopkins is any of those things even compared solely with Alicia

Don't get me wrong, I'd be just as against Gaunt, Hitchins or Littlejohn, probably moreso, but these are the giants of their game and I have to respect their relative qualities. These are trained, experienced and intelligent craftspersons as much as they're Tory scumbags

Hopkins is to these people what Kavana is to Led Zep. But I suppose people would argue that Kavana is a talented and successful musician :laugh:

And that's why BB is great. Brian Belo can be a comedy genius and Katie Hopkins a beautiful and articulate young woman in the eyes of their fans

She has said a few things people don't like.

I didn't say she hasn't lost control of herself in the house. Your example of following Parez around and squawking is a good one, but (and believe it or not, I much prefer Parez to Hopkins) Parez is often manic and Hopkins certainly isn't that.

I also didn't say she's made it to the top but its clear she fully intents to and if that means being ruthless, Hopkins won't have a conscience about that.

When I said "articulate" I didn't say "articulate argument", that's a whole other thing. What she is (and lets leave argument out of what I'm saying) is quick witted and sharp tongued and that takes a certain amount of confidence and intelligence. I don't doubt Katie Hopkins is a clever woman.

I love analysing people, especially Katie Hopkins who if I'm honest, absolutely fascinates me. I'm about as far away from Hopkins as one could get and I'm just as shocked and disgusted as you are when it comes to things she's said, both in the house and outside the house. I have already stated in various posts that I don't see her as an intellectual and I've already said, she behaves like a classic sociopath but what I won't do is continually bad mouth her for the sake of it and if I don't agree with your analysis, I'll disagree and put my ten cents in too. Thank goodness we can do that eh? because that's what keeps the cogs turning on sites like this. :)

I have to admit, having a disabled sister who has honestly struggled all her life, Hopkins did trigger an emotional response from me. Up until then I hadn't felt angry; disappointed at her unkindness, but not angry.

Kindness is a virtue and virtues are the actions by which we gain and keep our values.

Come on now, have you never heard of the stereotypical remarks by Brits against the French, The Germans, The Italians and the Irish. The American stereotype is bigger, better and louder than anyone else.

I get fed up that Katie Hopkins single handedly is responsible for all this nationalistic banter. It has been around for centuries, if you read the books.

Today, I was with a lovely young man with learning difficulties who attended a workshop with several others who have similar conditions. He told me he cannot attend anymore because of cuts and the transport was stopped for them all.
Yet, KP thinks it is OK not to pay for her son when her and his father are millionaires. If Katie H says this is not how it should be, I am behind her 100% Let's ask her Katie P how she feels about several other disabled people losing their transport because of cuts when she can easily afford to pay privately for her son, bet your life she will say it is because she can, not because it is morally wrong for her to do this.

So Katie H has said she doesn't like some children's names, well so what if she doesn't, it shouldn't affect anyone if she doesn't, just say Too bad Hopkins, but comments on how vile she is are way over the top. Others have a mouth to reply but it is again only banter. I am overweight, so are others but when I have my fat times it is because I overate and the truth hurts at time but it is still the truth.

A sense of perspective is needed, accept she is rent a gob and when people ignore her is when she is out of a job.

When you go crying, she is vile, she is this or that, she is living off this notoriety all the way to the bank. Ask why she makes others so annoyed, will it hurt her? No, will it do the person who hates her any good? No.

I think the point is most things in regards to british V's america - KH called Perez up on insulting the brits yet herself guilty for insulting Americans :shrug:

KH has no right to tell what's ok and not ok in regards to kids names when she herself has used obscue Kids names :shrug: I don't think there is a decent person in the UK who would pick on her kids the way KH does to others

It's better to exchange frank opinions and agree to disagree than abuse people who don't love your idol, which is frankly what I see coming from the Hopkins followers a lot of the time, mainly on other websites with a stronger political bent

Brian Belo is the best example. He isn't funny, but I have no interest in trying to convince his fans of that, much like I can't disabuse folk of the notion that Katie Hopkins is pretty, clever or strong

Fair comment, I wouldn't stand up for her on this but the overreaction in return is what keeps her in the public eye.

She has made several uncalled for comments but some of the criticism on here far outweigh anything she has said about others.

She has a very hard shell, it bounces off her, I wonder why?

I wish I knew why the things bounce off her I could say many heartless reasons why I could also try and understand her but I am just glad I don't think like her :D

Why would you want disabuse those who like KH. Accept they have their views and you have yours. I will give reasons why I choose to support and reasons why I don't like someone but to try to change others opinions is futile.

I got the impression that Deebo was saying he can't disabuse people and I took that as meaning, that isn't his intension.

We are always going to get frustrated posts where one tries to convert the other. The more we try the more exasperated we become. I'm sitting on a five bar gate in here. Sometimes I agree with Hopkins and sometimes I agree with Parez but I don't have any expectations from either of them. Whilst I prefer Parez to Hopkins, I'm certainly not going to excuse him when he behaves like a twat but it also doesn't mean I'm going to take sides.

We are merely fly's on a wall and our opinions will make little difference to the up and coming outcome.

About time the British public gave her the boot.

in a general way, very true,
however if we are specifically talking KH, her gimmick, for lack of a better term is being confrontational and loud (at least online) and she has been loud at certain times in the house too. the times she has been quiet hasnt annoyed the other person its just brought an end to the discussion so i dont think you last bit is applicable in this situation but in a general one definatly!
