1.
a woman who has many casual sexual partners.
synonyms: promiscuous woman; More
2.

a woman with low standards of cleanliness.

That's the old definition of the word, which doesn't relate to sexual partners.
Hence, why the definition says dated.

Unless, were living in 1953, I don't see why that would mean that.

Oh come off it, do you think that the vast majority of people who use the word don't still mean it in that way? It hasn't been redefined to mean something nice now

Jason. 15-05-2015 01:06 PM

Can we just agree to disagree.
This debate is so silly.

I'll make you happy and say she's a classy, clean slut like Danielle "supposedly" was from BB15.

GypsyGoth 15-05-2015 01:07 PM

I'm looking forward to the day I meet a polyamorous pansexual.

Not really.
When someone says slut. I presume someone who is sexually provocative, and has more than one sexual partner without commitment. Usually outside of marriage.

That doesn't make me happy, you're still using the word :nono:

Fine, she's a spunk scented goddess, can we move on now?

Your position in the fan club is rocky at best... :idc:

I like Jade.
I never said I dislike her.

Stop misconstruing what I'm saying.
Just because I don't say everything positive about someone, it doesn't mean I dislike them.

I forgot we all have to have the same opinion as you on a housemate, to be deemed whether you like the person or not.

Well, I think most people would automatically think along the "dirty slapper with loose morals" type lines. You can even see that by the negative way it's been used in here. It's used as an insult not really as a description

Isn't this just an example of different interpretations of a word?
You have your opinion, I have mine.

I don't think it is, I believe for the most part, people use it when they're talking down about someone rather than just giving a description.

And you posting an ambiguous smiley in response is relevant to the topic how?

You've contributed nothing worthy on this debate, apart from silly smiley to show your feelings, without backing it up with evidence like me or Niamh did.

You do it all the time, when someone doesn't have the same opinion as you.

That's the first time i just used a smiley as a response in this thread, I've clearly given my opinion on the topic multiple times.

Maybe cut back on the attitude a bit and stop getting personal with people, i haven't done that to you so i expect the same in return tyvm.

Well, then that's your problem. I'm afraid.
I respect your opinion, I wish you'd respect mine.

But if you don't, each to their own. I guess.

I'm going to post on another thread now.

I wasn't being personal.
I was just stating something I've noticed you do a lot on here, on many other threads.

I noticed it a while ago. You do it to others too.

You can't stand it when someone has a different opinion to you. It's like how in that Michelle Visage thread, when she received a lot of stick from me and Mystic Mock, who do not like her.

You responded to our opinions with simply the :nono: smiley. Without actually stating what you mean.

Niamh. 15-05-2015 01:23 PM

Ok guys, back on topic now

I wish more women would be open about this sort of thing, but this has proven that they can't be due to fear of being branded a 'slag' or a 'slut' because they have the same sexual appetite as men do, but apparently aren't allowed to.

I think the 'old fashioned' version of this frame of mind would have been called a swinger - plenty of those around in the past and it was a well known phrase. I think this 'new' word is just becoming trendy and basically describes a young person with a healthy sex life that doesn't want to settle down until they become more mature - jade is not really polyamorous - she proved that last night when she said that when she settles down and meets 'the one' it all has to stop. she's not polyamoupus - she just thinks she is - she's basically the exact same as any other young one trying to find 'the one'. She'll blend in just like most people when she grows up. All young ones like to think they are original and different but in reality it's all been done before. :cheer2:
