So the fact that him and Danny are friends is irrelevant if the guy isn't even gay, that's worse infact

BB4fan 01-07-2015 03:38 PM

Not surprised as his ugly side's been getting revealed as the weeks go by. He's fake in the house, he's a twitter troll, he tried to play the hard man and he tried to dominate the other HM's with what they can and can't do, (say and shouldn't say).

Are we really surprised at this point...??? Helen is nowhere near as nasty as this fake who tried to play the quiet little hero.

..that's the thing though, we really don't know do we, on the surface it's quite damning I know as are other things that he's tweeted as well...but there is fairly much a full glass of things to judge housemates for this year on their behaviour in the house and Danny is fairly much someone who very much can be judged on his grim behaviour...it's fairly much a 'tweet' world and I can't see any housemate looking good by any of the tweets I've seen from any of them, either past or present so if tweets are the thing, hmmmm I can't see that there is likely to ever be a worthy winner or a housemate to give any support to at all....

Ammi 01-07-2015 03:41 PM

..anyways, Danny is a knob, whatever his tweets....

Gay people like football too mate.

the truth 01-07-2015 03:59 PM

VanessaFeltz. 01-07-2015 04:00 PM

It's one of those "unwritten rules" like "straight person must not hug a straight person"

I don't understand it.

Livia 01-07-2015 05:25 PM

Not a Danny fan... but those tweets suggest to me that he has gay friends... like I take the piss out of my gay friend and he takes the piss out of me. People talk sh1t on the Internet, some of you might not have noticed...

Oh I'm all about breaking the rules then. I love a bit of footie.

Doesn't excuse his harassment of women online or use of the word 'fag'.

JoshBB 01-07-2015 05:39 PM

Oh yay... now I dislike the two most likely to win..

Liam- 01-07-2015 05:42 PM

I don't think the use of words like 'fag' or 'puff' or whatever automatically makes someone homophobic, a bit clueless maybe, but not homophobic.

I disagree, as it contributes toward an 'us vs. them' environment and mentality where homosexuals are seen as outsiders or 'weird'. It's a slur, period.

They are the equivalent of using the N word against a gay person, which in my eyes does make them very homophobic. The words have a lot of weight to them.

Liam- 01-07-2015 05:45 PM

For me personally, I think it's more the context in which the words are used that makes it homophobic, like there's a difference between using the words in a jokey way and using them in a way meant to cause offense to homosexual people.

There was a photoshopped image of two men together, as if it was a joke. You're telling me that wasn't making a mockery of an entire group of people's struggle? :conf:

Yes intention is more than the word itself, but it was clearly in a nasty context also. Sometimes my friends say things like "shh ur gay" in a way that's obviously jokey and sarcastic, which is fine. But it seemed very malicious the way Danny did it.

VanessaFeltz. 01-07-2015 05:53 PM

To be honest i dont want a straight man use the f word i find it offensive as it would be offensive when the n word is used by a white person

Chilltown 01-07-2015 05:58 PM

Especially considering this day in age where people are becoming more accepting, it's very abnormal to see someone so openly mock gays -- and recently.

uniquedude 01-07-2015 06:07 PM

He does seem very contradictory but the homophobic side comes out of most straight men when they get into an argument with someone they think is gay anyway
