We find the 'TiBB Staff' infraction system to work better for the forum.

Vicky and Ben were actually harassed to the point of stalking in the past because a member knew they had given them an infraction. That's how serious some people take things.

That's just something I play up to. I actually only infract people rarely, most of the time I'll just delete troublesome posts.

If I was that unfairly wrathful than the other mods would drag me over hots coals for it.

Just from experience when I was banned, I wasn't really given a chance to speak for myself. Nothing really gets discussed anymore and when I attempt to discuss things with mods, it's never reciprocated. They try to avoid confronting the issue in a lot of my cases.

Except people just use it to abuse mods and not take responsibilities for their actions. You already think that we're biased and that none of your infractions are deserved, you'd just accuse all the mods of bias if you could see that all the mods infract you equally.

lostalex 25-10-2015 08:55 AM

i definitely feel like most of the time i'm infracted it's not even from the mods, it's just because someone uses the report button, and i nEVER use the report button. I feel like a lot of times it's just an over sensitive jerk that clicks report, and the mods feel like they HAVE to do something because it's reported, even though most people on this forum are mature enough not to use the report button.

Because we all thought it was a fair infraction. If it wasn't it would have been overturned quickly.

Did you message any mods or use the contact us form?

Hey I'm mature... and I use the report button all the time.

So now you're blaming the people who may or may not report you?

Anything to avoid responsibility for your own actions, I see.

no, i said i think 75% of the time i know i deserve it, cause i'm usually drunk and bored and i totally know when i deserve a ban. but sometimes it's like an oversensitive religious person, or a person who just does;t like me who is just looking for any excuse. I'm not saying 've never deserved an infraction, i'm just saying if it's transparent i wouldn't have to be worried about those 25% of the time ones that don't make any sense to me. without the forum we used to have i can't even get an explanation anymore.

I clearly said many posts up that i take responsibility for 75% of my infractions. so don't say that i don't take any responsibility. i'm no angel, and never claimed to be. But i do think that just because i'm no angel doesn't mean it's okay to demonize me and i feel sometimes just because i do make mistakes, it means i'm not listened to and i'm unfairly treated SOMETIMES. not everytime, but sometimes.

It was the reason for the ban that got to me. I thought, if anything, that post would've got me infracted because I was mentioning religion but apparently I was making fun of the moderators so I didn't really get it. It's just further proof that anything you say on here can get maliciously turned into something that wasn't intended in the first place.

I rarely use the report button, but when I do I feel it's totally justified. Don't see how that makes me immature?

I checked that out when you messaged me and it was 100% clear why the infraction was given, I must have forgotten to reply to the message which is rare because 99% of the time I reply.

Unless you messaged me about something else and I never got the notification on my phone...

if you challenge it that mod just gives you another infraction to shut you up.

Agree with this tbh

Also I don't understand why the private queries forum was removed, just ban the few that abused it from using, why have the minority's ruin it for the majority when there's an easy solution for it

It was actually the majority that ruined it not the minority.

I didn't ask why it was given... I know why it was given, that wasn't the query.

they would probably ban me from it, because i had many of my infractions overturned in there, and the mods that have their infractions overruled get very pissed off and then think i'm manipulative and blah blah.

But the truth is i'm not a bad person, and i'm not a troll. Yes i say some offensive things and i am controversial and confrontational, but i usually follow the rules.

The problem is the rules are not clear, and they basically just depend on who is offended by any given thing.

If i talk about sex, i'm corrupting younger members, if someone else makes a joke about sex, nothing.

JoshBB 25-10-2015 09:07 AM

I usually tone my posts down after getting an infraction.

There was no other query in the message Kizzy other than 'Have I said something wrong' I will check the message again and reply to you but if you know why the infraction was given then I don't understand what it is your questioning.

I remember when I got my first infraction, I went on post strike for a good 10 minutes.

There was no point when most were abusing it. And we find it works better without it.

Just to add, I liked the appeals section.

lostalex 25-10-2015 09:08 AM

i feel like reopening the forum for challenging infractions would not only make the infracted members feel better, but would also allow other members to understand the rules better. Isn;t the most important thing for all members to understand the rules better? that way they are less likely to break them.
