A couple of serious opinions

When one posts a post and then spots a typo and edits can we please have a 1 minute grace period before the post shows "last edited and reason" as it is always a typo and its not needed.

On the recent ban list I think we should have the reason that they were banned

No to the first one because people have and still do use the edit post function to post an insult then edit it.

There is no need for the reason people are banned to be shown on the forum it was mostly always for a buildup of infractions anyway and plus it's no one else's business why someone is banned and even when the ban list was being used people viewed it as soon as it was updated and still went into the chat threads and started posting about the persons ban.

..I don't think the ban list was a good idea either and obviously also not good for the mod who made the post because that's how they would sometimes be abused as well...but it was often quite fun, watching a 'heated debate' unfold and then seeing it at the top of the page, moments later.....oooops, there it goes...

Some kind of weekly competition (different each week) that will get people involved

Change 'Chat & Games' to 'Forum Games & Spam' - put forum games and those chat threads (eg toms diner, the court) there.

Change 'General Chat' to 'General Discussion' - put topic-relating discussions here

I think this would be useful because some times when there is a topic to be talked about, they are spread throughout General Chat and Chat & Games, where one counts towards post count but the other does not.

Sounds good, suggestions/ideas would for the type of game be good too, I think it was Shaun that mentioned a general knowledge type quiz

Completely agree, and adding to that I would suggest members spend some time taking part in other discussions and different areas of the forum even attempting to create their own discussions at times rather than sticking mainly to one thread/section and posting one worded comments and replies.

General chat is for discussion, people just chance their luck posting garbage in there to up their post count.
