I was quite happy about tibb when Ammi started her 'best moment of tibb' thread yesterday, but you bunch of miseries have brought the mood right down to be honest. Do you not think the negativity in threads like this are just going to turn newbies away if they read it and make the place more desolate? And if you genuinely think there are problems with the site then why not do something about it that will make it a better place? We're all responsible for making this a community, surely there are ways of making it better if needs be, rather than just complaining about all the things you don't like about it?

I have been here since mid 2010 and really I'd say it's swings and roundabouts as to good and bad, positives and negatives.
AS the years have gone on, I have come to bond with tibb more and the members some of whom I disagree massively with, are all people I am interested to see what they are saying and what their thoughts are.
At this time, I think tibb has excellent mods too to be fair.

There were very fierce arguments when I first joined on threads,it was quite scary at times, there still are but I think they were actually far worse in 2010 and 2011.
Some wonderful members are no longer sadly with us, which brings particular years down when we lost them,a great member and totally approachable mod Kerry springs to mind instantly.
I'd say I prefer tibb now than in 2010 to 2012 but maybe that is just because I have been longer on tibb now and actually have done some growing up on here too, thanks to other members and all I have learned from their perspectives.

i remember things definitely changed when Kizzy got here. Kizzy formed a new group of people/friends. things seemed to get more combative around that time.

What?!....

Surely you jest Alex, I had hell on here when I joined with the forum royalty, even now it's hard to post without incurring someones wrath.
It improved loads but this year over the past few months I haven't enjoyed the forum as much due to having to field unnecessary remarks like this one.

So 2012, 2013, 2015, 2014. ( worst to best)

Is it really complaining if we are answering a question?

The bolded part, I can only reply in regards to my post but with things like the chat thread for instance people do try to have normal conversations in them then you get someone coming in with sarcastic comments about the conversations, replies like 'anyway' 'boring' and so on and its just offputting for the people that were chatting in the first place, there is a few members that don't frequent the chat threads now because of stuff like this.

Some people do try to make fun threads and such but again you get people coming in and say for example posting a completely random comment or gif as a reply then the threads take a completely different turn to what was originally posted.

Then we have the drama lovers, that will take the silliest little comments as an insult and escalate it to an argument.

I could go on and on.

And yes we are all responsible for making the forum a better place which is why if some members are enjoying a thread or having a chat others shouldn't go out their way to ruin it IMO.

I don't think negative criticism will turn newbies away no what I do think may turn some away is the replies they get to their posts, not understanding the 'in jokes' that are posted, the words that are used that they don't understand etc.

I feel like things would be better if some of the people who have amused me over the years returned. Stalwart members seem to be disappearing or not coming on so often. It's a shame. It was really nice to see Zee around yesterday, hope more people come back. Where the hell is Marc, for instance? I miss him... and GypsyGoth, I miss her so much. I hope they come back.

Couldn't agree more with this, any 'funny' thread that attempts to be made nowadays is soon filled with the generic replies and it soon dies

Oh! I didn't even notice the post count LOL...

No word from her then? It's just not the same around here without her. She's part of the furniture.

I talk to Marc every day, he's super busy with work and getting his own place etc but he's well.

Either that or it's just ignored and gets like 1 reply
