Chuff, why do you think the betting is so important?

It doesn't tell you who will win. It doesn't even tell you who the most popular is. It simply tells you the amounts that have been bet on each.

But if your husband is a bookie then you would know that the odds are simply adjusted to make the book over-round.

Ulrika won when she was least favourite to win. Voting decides, not bookmakers.

When a person leaves EVERYONE odds change as there are less people in the running

Yes, but when someone places a big bet the odds change. The odds are adjusted to reflect the overall liability of each outcome.

Do you not understand that I could make tiffany the favourite at Ladbrokes by walking in there and placing £100,000 on her?

You are not daft enough to waste £100,000 :joker: the less horses in a race say if ones been withdrawn ,therefore more chance of all the other horses to win

But the odds don't reflect the chances to win. They may do when the book is opened but then the odds respond to what is placed.

You made a big deal about her odds lengthening but it means nothing. It simply means people are betting more on the other people.

It would be interesting to see a proper comparison of what bookies have said in recent years and what has happened.

Look I'm not arguing with you my lovely, I know what I'm talking about with betting odds ,if these odds were about someone you didn't like ,you wouldn't have even commented, never mind tried to rubbish them

Hero Tiffany ? Who's hero ? I think she's an idiot with sawdust for brains

Au contraire. If you look back through my 4 year posting history then you will see I point this out to people whenever it is brought up and I have never claimed that odds changing is good for a favourite housemate of mine.

By the way, I have worked for betfred and William hill. I know how a book is run.
