Going on Thursday!

Daniel. 20-10-2018 10:41 AM

I saw this yesterday

It was really good, not scary (but then I dont find the others scary) but really intnese an definitely the best since the first one.

Black Dagger 20-10-2018 10:51 AM

Watched it last night with Anthony.

Was very intense and he's very brutal in this one.

Nancy. 20-10-2018 10:55 PM

Just got back and omg... what a film. Very tense and quite brutal in parts. I even winced during a couple of scenes and I'm a big horror fan. It's definitely the best Halloween since parts 1&2. Go and see it, you won't be disappointed.

Glenn. 20-10-2018 11:16 PM

Going to see this tomorrow. Can’t wait

Amy Jade 21-10-2018 05:22 PM

I loved it.

Spoiler:

Anyone else adore the scene when Karen was in the bunker absoloutely scared to death but it was an act and as soon as Michael got close she blasted him?

The Strode gals are made of tough stuff!

Kazanne 21-10-2018 05:26 PM

Just come back from seeing this, love Jamie Lee Curtis, love the music it's so iconic, not overly gory but a good movie. The little kid the girls was babysitting was cute and funny too but still don't know where he went, lol.

Tony Montana 21-10-2018 05:28 PM

i'm gonna watch this weekend and i'm looking forward to it.

Daniel. 21-10-2018 05:58 PM

Spoiler:

Was the end scene with Alyson hoding the knife could be an indaction if they do a sequal she will be villain? Or am I looking too much in depth?

Also not sure he didnt surive the fire

Jason. 21-10-2018 06:54 PM

Just got back from seeing this and loved it. :clap1: The deaths are brutal but it's not as unnecessarily gory as the remakes.

I saw most of it coming after the spoilery trailer but it didn't ruin the film.

Much better than H20 and on par with the first two originals imo.

OMG I’m excited now you like it :clap1:

I’m seeing it on Tuesday instead of Thursday!

Spoiler:

Halloween 5 was meant to be Jamie Lloyd carrying on Michael's legacy but they didn't want him killed off.

At the end of Halloween 2018 though there is heavy breathing implying Michael is alive.

Iconic :clap1:

Jase. 21-10-2018 10:58 PM

This was okay but I don't feel like it added anything new as such, the characters didn't feel that developed and it was kind of just there. Struggling to see where all the praise is coming from and I love horror films! I guess it was an entertaining watch but nothing outstanding. When it ended I just sat and thought "eh, is that it?". It's basically like every other slasher film out there?

Spoiler:

I thought the same just because I was expecting more than an ambiguous ending where the Strodes leave him to burn as they drive off.

I was lowkey expecting Michael to kill Laurie or vice versa and Karen to die in the third act tbh.

Spoiler:

I was lowkey hoping Michael would at LEAST kill one of them. I just found the ending so basic and meh.

We stuck around for the end credits and when it was just some Darth Vader style breathing somebody yelled "well that was a waste of ****ing time sticking around for" and we all pissed ourselves laughing :joker:

Nancy. 23-10-2018 07:38 PM

Halloween raked in a staggering, $77.5 million debut, Universal and Blumhouse's movie topped the weekend with the second largest October opening weekend of all-time. The horror film headlined a massive weekend overall weekend, that saw the top twelve combine for over $160 million, making this the second largest October weekend ever.

I think they left it because they're hoping to do more and didn't want to lose any of them.

Cal. 24-10-2018 07:26 PM

Ugh all of your Reviews have got me so Excited! Can't wait to watch it on Saturday.

I'm trying really hard to not look at any of those spoilers

Smithy 26-10-2018 11:21 PM

I thought it was ok, but nothing amazing, I don’t get what all the hype is about? I haven’t seen any of the other films so does that play a part?

But then if it does surely a film should be able to be good on its own merits rather than bc it’s part of a franchise?

Idk, anyway, it was ok, but nothing different to any other slasher film out there

ALSO I hate when films have really illogical/unexplained things in them, like how he just wouldn’t die?
