Yeah, and I'm sure the housemates 8 (EIGHT) hours in bed wouldn't have been riveting. Nor the time each spend on the toilet emptying their bowels.

It's quite refreshing to see someone tidying and cleaning, the house normally looks like a serious health hazard.

Believe it or not, some people like and support normal, nice and genuine people, hence why the likes of Ricky and Sam are getting support, not everyone likes loud, obnoxious twats that take joy from hurting people and upsetting them.

I like Helen too,nothing wrong with that,she wasn't as bad as some painted her,I also like Ricky who is the polar opposite to Helen but both interesting people and I feel you could at least have a decent conversation with them.

I don't watch an ENTERTAINMENT show to see women putting on their make up, unemployed people washing the dishes and prancing queens who's eyes never leave the mirrors, I watch to have a laugh ....there only one person who's provided that laugh this series Bear

Ricky is popular, not for anything he has done (he hasn't really done anything) but he is popular just for who he is.

Eastenders helps but that alone wasn't enough save Gillian (Kathy Beale) or Cheryl (Heather Trott) but Ricky has the edge for being younger, being on BOTS alot and talking in that typical fake daft 'streetwise' Ali G voice that is so popular nowadays.

Plus people vote Ricky for the Anti-Bear vote. His only memorable moment was saying to Bear 'you are an ugly human being'. That was enough for people to think 'urrr.. if Bear is a villain then Ricky must be the HERO'. Basic public pantomime reaction. Boo the bad guy and therefore cheer anyone else who stands against him.

Honestly if the final was between Bear and a teaspoon then the the spoon would win simply because it 'isn't Bear'. It's happening now in the USA, people will vote for Hillary not because they like her but because they like Trump less. The media makes Trump out to be 'the villain' so whoever the other guy is must get the vote, just as long as it isn't Trump! Maybe Trump stood for office as a clever plan to 'be the bad guy' to make sure Hillary got in, who knows? Not outrageous to think that, seeing as she was even at his wedding in 2005 - google it!

As for Ricky being the other guy who is 'Not Bear' - he can now just sit back, not do any tasks, not even say much and still win the show.

Eastenders + Stupid street voice + Standing up to the show's 'villain' = easy, boring winner.
