And I'm sorry but when the UK top 40 was on one of the music channels yesterday and like half the songs sound the same anyway, so I don't get why he's hailed as a genius.

He's a fad, he'll be remembered for his success more than his music.

I've gone from liking to disliking this about 3 times in the last 2 days. I dislike it. Shape of You is truly dull, and of the rest of the album, his rapping is cringeworthy, his ballads are unoriginal, his 'humble' attitudes in some of the tracks is embarrassing, and it's ****ing full to the brim of cliches. Where is the creativity here? I like a bit of originality with my albums. I also like artists who progress to a new vision with each album; there is no evolution with Ed at all.

He's generic as **** and his music is uncreative and mediocre. It's honestly a mystery to me why he is successful.
