Jarrod, this is amazing. I also really like the photos of Olympic Park and the River Thames on the walls of the garden.
|
I need you to teach me how to use a Google Sketchup becaus I've tried many a time to make a house and it ended up looking like a garden shed that was blown over :joker:
|
Amazing.
|
I wish you could forward these to the producers. The whole idea is just genius.

The Big Brother village is SHOOK
This is incredible. My favourite part is the ticket barriers you need to pass to enter / exit the house. Imagine "Mandy, you have been evicted, please collect your ticket and leave via the eviction line immediately"  |

You should be so chuffed with this work, it's superb!

Thank you!

Wowsers! The house is superb and love the theme - gives it quite an industrial feeling which I love. Would be nice to see it follow through a bit more into the garden though - the pool could be a platform for example. Can't quite work out where the diary room is but love the idea of utilising a tube train - might be better located outside though as some kind of snug,or using it as the entrance (with a bit of TV trickery!)
One thing I do love which I don't think they've ever done, and probably never would on C5 as they make them up as they go along, is displaying the rules. Fits this theme superbly but think it's a great idea overall. Only let down IMO is the logo - really get what you're trying to do and I'd keep the underground logo as the pupil but just ditch the concentric eyes and instead go for straight lines within the eye template so it's a bit more abstract. |

I agree, the garden could use a bit more "industry" as a theme I think. The pool as a platform could be a really cool feature. If I return to this house to make a CBB version, I'll consider that as a possibility! Ah, the eye is a love or hate going off the comments I've had. |
I love this! Honestly you are so talented! I've tried using Google Sketchup but just fail every time :D

Incredible model. Would love a copy to have a look around on my laptop!
Not sure a moving background would work in the diary room, especially with the way c5 edit the show... |
Thank you all!

Love this. Ingenious.

Going to be attempting a CBB house soon.

Well, three years later.. might actually get round to posting the Celebrity version.

Celebrity Big Brother Celebrity Big Brother would return to its original January slot, no summer edition, meaning the house would undergo bigger transformations. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...90d0e8ac_c.jpg House: Exterior: Nothing really changes with the outside set - just new graphics to say Celebrity Big Brother in place of civilian. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...f1c95974_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...1cf9305f_c.jpg Entrance: Ticket gates that were in place for the summer series would be removed, so the stairs now lead directly down into the living area. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...398102e9_c.jpg Living Area and Lounge Round dining table has been removed and replaced with a new longer table, with new stone wall coverings. Station theme still remains in places, sofas have not changed at all, added light fixtures. Kitchen is a new kitchen and is still rather small. The area has been extended with the colder weather, meaning more inside space for the celebrities. Diary Room hasn't altered, still a tube train. Wall of cubes has been replaced with a plant wall and a new snug seating area installed near the bathroom. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...426f08c8_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...930ed7c9_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...5a32f96d_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...8cc6ce55_c.jpg Bathroom: Bathroom has been completely renovated, extended and is now bigger. Accessed via the lounge as the summer. New bath, shower and seating area. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...614a3a4c_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...9a955068_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...c62b975b_c.jpg Garden: Garden has had the biggest of all changes. Patio doors now resemble the outside of a station building, less grass space and a new covered seating area to resemble a platform. Pool has been removed. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...ee67d6c3_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...a0063e37_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...283732ff_c.jpg |
Love it Jarrod :clap1:

Loving the original even more the second time around and the tweaked Celeb version is just the cherry on the top. The whole thing shows with a bit more imagination they could have done so much more with Elstree. To be fair I think one thing C5 did largely get right was the house but rewatching the BB3 ep last week it was a reminder of how the height of the space being opened up really made it feel much more open plan. I know in BB4 they lowered it to make it cosier, then again in BB5 to make it more claustrophobic, but from a viewers point of view the more open and spacious the house looked the better it looked.
