For pretty pathetic reasons too. I don't know a single other forum that edits out all trace of a source.

Even Digital Spy don't do it, and they are super heavy handed with moderation.
Yes, they do. Check their terms and conditions - website urls are often being 'starred' out there.

I'd say not linking to false information is a good reason for removing a link. It might be worth linking to these 'facts', 'logos' or 'screenshots' on other sites if they actually had some truth in them and weren't totally made up.

Actually DS are pretty liberal. Their rules state: "We only permit links to other websites in threads when relevant to a pre-existing discussion or when they refer to an interesting specific article."

Fake or not, it's interesting, from any site. Personally I don't care what site is linked they all seem to have the same rumours on them. I agree people who just spam their own sites is wrong, but a complete ban of links strikes me that this site is a tad insecure.

Anyway the rumour has been debunked, if you can find your way to the site in question.

BBJames 22-04-2007 04:38 PM

I think it could work, really.

We need a change.

Juelz 22-04-2007 04:42 PM

explain ........

Sam 22-04-2007 04:44 PM

I dont think The battle will happen. I beleive Its just a stupid rumour. I really hope so anyway

Sam 22-04-2007 04:52 PM

You can tell its fake , the only reason the reflection looks real is that the advert is actually somehow put on the tv (maybe the person uploaded the fake advert on to a dvd then played it on the tv) and the photo is taken, rather then them putting it on afterwards using photo shop or something. We can safetly say its fake

I'd say fake information is more annoying than interesting, and I'm sure most people would agree.

This site has been online for over five years - making up false information to get visitors from links spread across other forums is what I'd call 'insecure'.

I wonder where the 'target' logo came from?

.....I'm told this is where the TV picture comes from. It's not against the rules to put this up btw... it's a primary source of information in this case (the origin of the picture), not a secondary source - http://www.joystiq.com/2007/04/10/if...ht-be-a-redne/

Scarlett. 22-04-2007 05:41 PM

It sounds to different and BB should just stick with BB8 and not call it 'The Battle'

BIG-BRO-FAN 22-04-2007 05:50 PM

This could just be one really bad rumour. They could put some kind of task in the middle and have a Battle for a week. I'm not fond of the idea...

Rory 22-04-2007 06:06 PM

It won't happen. I may agree iwth Big-Bro-Fan, where a weekly task is that, but I'm sure BB8 Won't be The Battle.

Emilee 22-04-2007 06:09 PM

I dont like the idea. better not be true!

SiMoN! 22-04-2007 06:16 PM

whats it all about

BIG-BRO-FAN 22-04-2007 06:19 PM

Let's hope the producers are reading the boards at the moment. Here's to hoping

Michael 22-04-2007 06:55 PM

you think they would just keep it simple. its best that way.

Michael 22-04-2007 07:06 PM

anyone think this \"The Battle\" thing is all rubbish?

what do you think? it came from the daily star, its not guaranteed to be true.

dupin 22-04-2007 07:12 PM

Yeah, I think it is. I guess we'll wait and see.

BIG-BRO-FAN 22-04-2007 07:15 PM

Sorry, but I think there's a thread about this already.

xPrInCeSs-MaYx 22-04-2007 07:43 PM

whatever its still all rubbish:mad:

andybigbro 22-04-2007 08:07 PM

yeah i dont like it

Ruth*Star 22-04-2007 08:09 PM

I really dislike this idea.

eyeonu 23-04-2007 02:23 PM

I dunno!

the_chosen_one 23-04-2007 07:57 PM

I'm not sure what it is.

cepb 23-04-2007 08:09 PM

dont know what it is

Callum 23-04-2007 08:38 PM

I think this may appear to be true, with quite a few rumours on the Battle theme, you just never know!! Would be good though, sounds like something America would do, with the sub-heading, but it may appear to be a magor hit with viewers!

Conzors 26-04-2007 08:23 PM

The battle?..More like the crapple

I know there is another thread on this. but i just wanted to see if people would write anything on mine (mostley because i just skim through the others)

Is anyone else hating 'the battle'. and the show hasnt even started.

id wish theyd go back to evil big brother.

please give me your comments..

thanks..
