Trump should be more worried about that war he almost started with N.Korea tbh than whether people stand or kneel for a song. Also, since when is kneeling less respectful than standing anyway?

Yes I do, posting a year old video of someone singing the American national anthem is neither current nor ontopic

Alf 26-09-2017 11:22 AM

So year old videos are not allowed on this forum anymore? or are you anti- American?

Sure it was Donald that nearly started a war and not N Korea...

Both I believe hold some responsibility here, the POTUS should have more sense though than a crazy dictator. I mean I would have expected us all to hold the American president to a higher standard than Kim Jong Un, is that mad? Maybe that rule no longer applies now the Donald is in charge huh?

Average wage of an NFL player is $1.9 million

It must be comforting to the millions of americans who are in poverty to know that these brave men and kneeling down and then later getting into their private jets and huge brand new cars to travel back to their huge mansions miles away from poor people and sitting picking their arses watching telly

:flutter:

That is gonna make that $2 ready meal taste reeeeal sweet

Niamh. 27-09-2017 09:26 AM

as has been stated before he last proper research done by a major newspaper (with no agenda) in 2016 came to the conclusion that

"nothing to see here move along "

I expect you have more up to date research ?

I did not. It is no surprise that the rise of social media is the main factor here and not a rise in police brutality imo

"look at this video of a cop shooting a black man"

omg

share, share share

No context, no evidence, not response from the police, no info on the perp etc etc

you can clearly see what is going on here. Add that to the fact that Half of America are pissed that that Trump won and hey presto we get millionaires bending down and being applauded as some sort of social justice heroes

You think it's only been a problem since social media became a thing? That is so untrue

Tom4784 27-09-2017 11:24 AM

confirmation bias
noun
the tendency to interpret new evidence as confirmation of one's existing beliefs or theories.

Niamh. 27-09-2017 11:40 AM

Also can I just say why do people care so much about national anthems anyway, it's a stupid song  People are strange
