I get what you're saying though, don't get me wrong Britton and Pryor are talented, but I'd just like to see them be more exciting with their performances. |

I do feel that there was potential with Pryor, but he just seems to be going down the wrong lane imo, and it's always songs from decades gone by rather than songs from now. And I never thought that I'd say this but it's ashame to lose Jackie Verna as she was the most improved contestant of the year I feel, hopefully she goes on to do well for herself post show which I hope for them all tbh, but especially Verna. |
My opinion of the performances at the top 8.
1. Jackie Foster & Rayshun Lamarr - Their duet wasn't note perfect, but it's the kind of performance that I do like to listen to in my Music, loud Guitars, Drums, and alot of energy from my performers with a decent vocal to back it up. I also loved the staging effects. 2. Kaleb Lee - I know that this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I do think that Kaleb sung his song to the best of his ability which is something that I normally do tend to question from him in other weeks, he also lost the Karaoke vibe in this performance which made taking his performance seriously possible. 3. Spensha Baker - It was nice to see her actually have something more upbeat this week, her vocal wasn't perfect imo, but it was still an okay performance. 4. Kyla Jade & Spensha Baker - Not really my kind of Music, but they did sing it okay bar a few shouty moments from Kyla. 5. Britton Buchanan - It was the typical safe Britton performance that we always get, but it was of a higher calibre than the other performances on the night imo. 6. Kaleb Lee & Pryor Baird - It was nice to hear Pryor sing a song that's newer than the 70's, but this duet did reek of Karaoke despite some decent vocals from Pryor mainly, they also had harmonising issues that were quite prominent in the performance. 7. Jackie Foster - This performance didn't work for me I'm afraid AarynGriesfan, the show gave her a very karaoke number here and it makes me wonder if they want her in trouble this week. However I will say as a positive that she tried to perform the hell out of it which is nice in a series where the Walkers out of TWD seem like they've got more personality than most of these contestants. 8. Kyla Jade - An okay first half of the performance, but the second half got really, really shouty, I honestly don't get the hype for this performance by the public at all. 9. Brynn Cartelli - Funeral Music. 10. Pryor Baird - Again it was nice to see him not be stuck in the 70's, but my god Blake/production really do give him dull songs to sing don't they, Pryor's voice should clearly be more aimed towards Grunge/Post-Grunge sounds yet they keep giving him either Soft Rock or Country numbers, I really don't get it. 11. Britton Buchanan/Brynn Cartelli - Pass me the bucket.:yuk: 12. Rayshun Lamarr - Predictable song to sing on a Talent Show, and he just sung it completely wrong in my view. Imo Rayshun is a cert to be in there, I do think though that the public should teach one of Brynn, Pryor, and Britton a lesson for keep playing it safe and MOR and drop them in the drop zone just to give them a kick up the ass. I know it'll never happen, but incredibly safe and dull performances should be punished on these shows. |

White Snake probably wasnt the best song choice but I still enjoyed it. If Jackie doesn't make the finale I will probably end up just voting for Brynn. She was my third favorite behind both the Jackies.

I do think that Jackie Foster has been a standout contestant for this series though and does deserve to make the final. |

I'm glad to see that Pryor and Britton got taught a lesson for playing it safe by the public, hopefully it gives Britton a kick up the ass and he has a great final. |
I checked the sing-off out and I'd say that the right choice was made.
Pryor was woeful, he took all of the subtle moments and just screamed through them, it was all sung at one level and his vocal never really went anywhere. Britton I'd say that it was his best performance at the lives, but he still picked a predictable song choice for himself that's been done quite a few times on The Voice around the world. However he actually didn't come off as lazy in this performance and he did sing most of it well so fair play to him. |

And sadly for Jackie she weren't gonna appeal to the Housewife demographic as much as Pryor which is the main voting block on singing shows. |

Just a guess I could be wrong here but I feel like on Tuesday they are going to announce that Brynn is the winner.

None of the finalists were good. The Voice isnt going to have any trouble topping that. |
I thought Brynn had the best performance of the night with Skyfall. I will be shocked if she doesn't win. Kyla was her toughest competition and she had the worst night out of everyone. So seems like a slam dunk to me at this point.

My opinion of the final performances.
Solo performances: 1. Britton Buchanan - I weren't very keen on the song tbh, but it was nice to see him being more energetic onstage rather than being a Zombie. 2. Brynn Cartelli - The beginning was quite good, but she did start to descend on the chorus and it kinda went hit and miss from there for me personally. 3. Spensha Baker - I couldn't wait for the performance to end tbh. 4. Kyla Jade - An overdone song choice and she just screamed through the song. Duet performances: 1. Britton Buchanan & Alicia Keys - It weren't perfect and the song was slowed down a bit more than I'd have liked personally, but overall their vocal harmonies, and the way they did their song was just more professionally done than the others imo. 2. Brynn & Kelly - I like the song, and I feel that they worked better as a duet than the other two duets. 3. Spensha & Blake - The one thing that you don't realise about Spensha until you have to listen to her multiple times in one night is how she sings at one level, all of her performances no matter what the tempo is all sounds the same due to the fact that she can't change it up much at all. 4. Kyla & Blake - I feel like this duet just didn't work for me at all, their voices didn't mesh, the song was dull, and ultimately I feel like the song was too low for Kyla's voice and therefore shouldn't have been given to her. Original/Winners song: 1. Britton Buchanan - I actually quite liked this from Britton, I don't know if it's stood out on a poor night for me, but it was more like I wanted to see from Britton than what we've been getting from him throughout the series. 2. Brynn Cartelli - The song is catchy, and her vocal as usual was inconsistent throughout the song, and I despised the fact that her song only had Walk My Way as most of it's lyrical content, but there were positives for her which is more than I can say for the other two who's night just wasn't up to scratch. 3. Spensha Baker - It was her best performance imo, but it was still quite mediocre for me personally. 4. Kyla Jade - The same as Spensha. So I kind of went into this final leaning towards Kyla, now I'm more Britton or Brynn to win based off the night, although I do begrudge the show with Brynn a little bit as they do want her to win. |
Britton & Alicia honouring Avicii with that stunning duet
