So?

Celebrities have fans, big deal.

Good things these celebs hold no actual power anymore.

It's a very witty design though. Tongue in cheek... and a nifty souvenir  ...though maybe an unused one would be best to keep, not a used one... I would get one, laminate it and put it into a scrap book. Or maybe hang it in the garage if I have garage parties... it's fun

It could become a collector's item and quite valuable.

I think so too. Especially if it had some "notoriety" to it. It's a relatively fragile item, so probably not many people will think to "preserve" it.

I remember reading years ago how certain cheap toys of poor Victorian children were now very valuable in comparison to the toys of the more 'well-off' Victorian children for the simple reason of rarity.

Not many survived because despite being mass-produced because they were often of inferior quality and being bought for poor children meant that such toys were not only well-played with but also roughly handled and often passed around and from sibling to sibling.

By contrast, the toys of the Victorian middle-class children were more expensive to purchase, more robust being better quality and were 'handled' more 'respectfully and much less frequently so more survived.

With the items which you posted Maru, in addition to the reasons which you cite, anti-Monarchy sentiments are increasing generation by generation so one day when the Monarchy is abolished they may well be relatively valuable.

I bought one of the last copies of 'The News of The World' - a UK 'rag' and immediately wrapped it unopened and 'put it away', ditto several bin-bags of unopened McDonalds 'free' toys, and many 'First Editions' of unopened new books, because hopefully, one day my great grandchildren or their children might capitalise on some future value as 'Collectors' items.

If only (there go the two saddest words in the English language again: laugh:) MY great, great grandparents had been blessed with foresight.

Actually really looking forward to this wedding ...wish them all the best for the future.....My mother-in law .....who has sadly passed refused English be spoken in her house (because of the boer war).....If she was alive she would be in her Sunday best with A G&T

Baby Jane 19-05-2018 07:30 AM

There have been so many twists and turns and plot twists in the build up to the wedding, it has been anything but boring! It’s been like an outlandish storyline from The Royals!

the big day when the british royal family turns a little less classy when Meghan joins the family :hehe:

what, oh well i bet all the guys she had given a lapdance would also say Meghan is a nice woman :fan:

but yes this is definitely Harry's type, and tbh i quite love it that he isn't that into the noble women, but more normal women of normal class :hee:

Harry also does a great job with the invictus games (the paralympics for commonwealth) and Meghan does her good amount of charitable work as well :clap1:

bots 19-05-2018 07:49 AM

Sarah Ferguson was well known for doing table dances at the ski resorts, so Meghan hasn't done anything new

BBC sound is faster than light now, we hear them talk and their mouths move a few seconds later :hehe:
