excelsior lost first match against rkc, so relegation can be possible

de graafschap had a draw first match against cambuur, also not a great start to promote/relegation play off

Nicky91 23-05-2019 07:29 AM

so excelsior relegated

de graafschap won and still has a chance

we get one promoted team at least in a RKC or Go Ahead

De Graafschap still fights for survival now against Sparta

Mystic Mock 23-05-2019 01:58 PM

I know that it's quite late to say this, but congratulations on Fortuna Sittard staying up Nicky, hopefully they can build on this and get better for next season.

yeah, it was a good result, just avoiding the play off for promotion/relegation while most expected them to relegate immediately

for next season there will be 2 immediate relegation spots, and 1 play off spot for that (like german bundesliga) our KNVB has said

Mystic Mock 23-05-2019 02:25 PM

Do you think that you can avoid the drop next season?

Nicky91 25-05-2019 07:49 AM

utrecht - Vitesse first match was 1-1 draw, tuesday is return and a decider who goes into european football

Mock, idk maybe if we do some interesting signings this summer, also who are additions for the team, i'm glad the coach is gonna do field work now (eijer left on Mutual decision bc of illness not being able to give his 100% for the club) so hofland will be assistant for whoever will be signed as head coach for next season

Nicky91 25-05-2019 11:02 AM

so far we got (managers)

ADO Den Haag - Alfons groenendijk

Ajax - Erik Ten hag

AZ - Arne Slot

Emmen - Dick Lukkien

Feyenoord - Jaap Stam

Fortuna Sittard - (TBA)

Groningen - Danny Buijs

Heracles - Frank Wormuth (GER)

Zwolle - (TBA)

PSV - Mark Van Bommel

Fc Twente - Gonzalo Garcia Garcia (ESP)

Utrecht - John Van den Brom

Vitesse - Leonid Slutskiy (RUS)

VVV - Maurice Steijn

Willem II - Adrie Koster

we're still waiting on promotion/relegation play off to be finished, and european play off of course, and then 2019/20 season preparations can begin

Mystic Mock 25-05-2019 11:04 AM

Sad to hear that about the Head Coach.

I wonder if you's should look at the Ajax and PSV youth squads and poach some of their players on loan.

yeah he has MS (a muscle disease) :(

going to ajax, asking to get perr schuurs back (if ajax doesn't use him anyway for their first team :oh: ) they bought him from us and never selected him for main team while we could've used him big time for our defence

Nicky91 26-05-2019 08:24 AM

rkc - go ahead a 0-0 draw

de graafschap won first match away in rotterdam against sparta with 1-2 so a good chance of them staying in for next season

Nicky91 29-05-2019 07:29 AM

RKC, Sparta promoted after their wins

RKC in a thriller away at go ahead, with a stunning 4-5 win (4-3 behind too, but equalizing and making the winner in extra time)

Sparta winning away against de graafschap with 0-2

:clap1: so 3 out, 3 in for us

Nicky91 29-05-2019 07:31 AM

now the preparation for 2019-20 season can begin :) also holiday time for most first team players

Nicky91 29-05-2019 10:59 AM

- PSV having huge interest in Rick Van Drongelen, the dutch defender, who now plays at Hamburger SV

as a replacement for the leaving defender Schwaab

Nicky91 25-06-2019 06:56 AM

PSV transfer in: Afellay

Fortuna Sittard, Sjors Ultee (Manager), and player transfers so far in: Patrik Raitanen (Liverpool Youth) and a Rasmus Karjalainen (RuPs)

2 finnish players, rasmus is a 7 time international with main finnish squad, and raitanen is a youth international

Nicky91 22-07-2019 08:02 AM

the new grass for the Fortuna stadium

jacky and vitali presentation in training camp hoenderloo

recap of the sensational surprise win over bayer leverkusen by Fortuna, a goal from newbie karjalainen :clap1:

and this weeks schedule for the Fortuna team, very very busy

Nicky91 22-07-2019 08:07 AM

here's the highlights of that leverkusen match btw

our new coach Ultee said ''we played as a team and that is why we won the match''

not to forget leverkusen being in champions league, so this is a good preparation en route to new season

if i could make my own Fortuna starting 11 it would look like

Goal: Koselev

Defence: Passlack, Raitanen, Dammers, Essers

Midfield: Diemers, Smeets, Carbonell, possibly Ledley or Rodriguez (depending who is signed as experienced midfielder)

attack: Dianessy, Karjalainen

subs

Goal: Jug

Defence: Ninaj, Mica, Ciranni

Midfield: Ioannidis, Ciss, Malsa, Ugur

Attack: Damascan, Dobos, Zeka

Nicky91 25-07-2019 10:39 AM

and another signing for Fortuna

Bassala Sambou from everton, 21 yr german-english attacker, a good backup attacker and a surprise signing, since there also was interest from championship and clubs in germany

and Sambou comes in handy now dianessy is again injured

and they are still fighting to sign up Joe Ledley

Nicky91 27-07-2019 03:27 PM

So Willem II haven't missed Crowley then.:joker:

At least we can't be demonised by their fans for poaching their star player.

And good luck Nicky as that's gonna be a tough match for you guys.

Nicky91 04-08-2019 07:37 AM

psv was awful, a 1-1 against twente

ajax was not good either, 2-2 away against Vitesse

now tonight come on Fortuna, preparation season was best out of all eredivisie teams, also new 4-4-2 strategy is a good choice, since 4-3-3 was too risky, so Ultee knows his stuff for a young coach

Nicky91 04-08-2019 08:32 AM

i'm curious what starting 11 Ultee will come up with for this first match, lmao compared to last year, Fortuna now has a luxury problem in defence :hehe: and we sign one english left back from brighton George Cox, as a backup for our captain Mica Pinto

as for midfield, we still hunt for Joe Ledley or buying Jose Rodriguez

some fans moan about how we lost Semedo, well i'm not sad considering he wasn't that good certain important matches

Patrik Raitanen i like this addition for defence, good signing from Liverpool for us, and also loan deal with Passlack from dortmund, he's a good hard worker in defence but also moves forward along flanks which is exactly what Fortuna wants, counter attack football

Karjalainen well his first match he played was friendly against bayer leverkusen and he made that one goal in the surprising 1-0 win

but we have Sambala, Zeka, Donkor, Damascan as other good attack options
