He's not talking about being judged for how he looks in those photos though.

You're choosing to focus on those photos that have been included in the thread rather than bothering to understand the words you're reading.

But... hey... it doesn't affect you so therefore it doesn't exist.

Ignorance is indeed bliss.

I think wearing arseless trousers is not the best look when broaching this subject...

Twosugars 11-07-2018 12:53 PM

would it overcomplicate the issue if I introduced a gay Muslim?

All things aside he has such a punchable face and garbage music

Livia 11-07-2018 01:24 PM

The most interesting thing about this chap is that he's gay. He made it that way. Every time I've seen him, that's what he's been on about, not his music... his homosexuality.

Things have changed and are changing. I have lots of gay friends and while we discuss a wide range of subjects, we never discuss gay issues with the angst with which it's addressed on here.

You haven’t got the right to say that unless you’re gay to be honest with you. You wouldn’t know.

what about all the other artists quoted in this thread ?

all huge icons of the music industry

Alot of them at the time were seen more as gay icons than accessable to straight people, it's changed alot for those artists nowadays, but at the time some of them were not necessarily loved by straight people.

And my main point anyway is that gay singers will struggle to sell Music because gay people and straight people on average do tend to have different taste in Music to each other. Anyway I feel that gay actors suffer more prejudice than gay singers, alot of gay actors have to pretend to be straight just to have a career in the TV or Movie world.

You said he never made himself look like a twat.

I'd say continuously getting done for drugs and having sex in public toilets makes you look like a twat.

How is wanting to be treated like everyone else asking for special treatment?

Asking to be treated like a normal human being and being able to have the luxury of a relationship with the same sex without the fear of being harassed, beaten and murdered for. Something straight people have zero clue about because they don’t have to worry about it. But hey, it’s ok, you’ve got gay friends that seem fortunate enough to have not been subject to much of what I’ve just said. The same can’t be said for other gay people who just want to live a hate free life.

You sure about that, what about mixed race couples? some of them don't have it easy, what about trying to marry into an Asian family or trying to get out of an arranged marriage, the poor me stuff is very wearing
