Our owners also need to start properly investing in the club, or quite simply **** off if they can't.

Well done to Luton and Barnsley on their impressive wins last night, and I do feel sorry for the three teams going down in different ways.

Karanka looks like the next manager and he has a good track record in the championshil

Well... we’re down. Congrats to Luton and Barnsley though especially the former as they’ve been playing extremely well and deserved there place to stay in the championship. Congrats to Birmingham as well, hopefully they can rebuild next season and come back as a much stronger team.

As for Charlton, I think that result pretty much summed up our season and how it’s just been a car crash from September. Didn’t surprise me that Leeds won that game, they’re finally going back to the Prem after 16 years and wanted to finish the season on a win and with the team they’ve got, they were easily going to tear us apart. Good luck to them.

In regards to Charlton though we have so many issues not just with the players but with the ownership. It’s just been an absolute joke and I literally have no idea what’s going to happen and how long it will take to get sorted. At the moment I seriously don’t think we will be bouncing back and winning promotion back to the Championship next season. We need some serious investment but unfortunately we always seem to attract dodgy owners at the moment.

I’m gutted though cause at the start of the season and the way we was playing it looked like we could’ve done very well. Then our main striker was injured in Sept and it was just too many poor results after that. Then came the ownership change in January and it looked like the beginning of a fresh start and a boost of morale for both the fans and everyone involved in the club. It ended up being such a huge mess and then once the football returned after lockdown, our main striker, the one person we needed chose not to play. To top things off there were many games this season where we kept giving away points in the dying stages of the game (Birmingham for example) which again is something that cost us massively.

There’s only been one shining moment for me this season and that’s Dillon Phillips. He’s been outstanding this season I think and there’s been many times where he’s saved us from some really bad results and the fact he’s played every game this season shows how much of a great player he is for us at the moment. He definitely deserved our player of the season, just a shame that the season ended on such a harsh result for him.

Wishing you the best of luck to bounce back next season.

Thank you but it was only thanks to other results we did .
A relief but so many concerns now remaining sadly.

Charlton may still get lucky with Derby facing a potential massive points deduction

Denver 23-07-2020 10:50 AM

Derby could be deducted 21 points and Shef Wed's could be deducted 9

Even if this did happen and we stayed up, we have not got the squad nor the investment to compete in the championship at the moment. We’d just be battling for survival all season. Hopefully we manage to get some decent investment into club soon.

I echo all you say there Mock.

Really the next season could just be a few weeks off.
So I hope something happens and fast at Birmingham.
Otherwise there's a dreadful season in prospect coming up.

Anyway here's hoping.
You should go and march in there and sort them out please Mock.

Tbh all of the changes that I'd want implemented at the club would probably take a bit of time to get going I think, but I'd rather take that risk than the current performances.

And the owners would probably sack me when I tell them that John Smith from Harrogate is not the right fit for this club.:joker:

Another chance for West Brom to bore their way to 1-1 draws in the Prem :inamood: brilliant.

I assume these last couple of games will destroy Brentford's morale in the playoffs and we'll end up with Swansea or Fulham coming back up. Just... anyone but Cardiff, please. I can't take another boring team.

I'm wishing the same.

Charlton and Lee Bowyer imo have done well considering their circumstances behind the scenes.

Derby for severely breaking FFP including a wage bill that is higher than some PL teams and the fact their owner brought the stadium then rented it back aswell as many other things they shouldn't be doing.

Shef Wed have overspent constantly despite not having the means to do so

Birmingham have retired the #22 shirt after Jude Bellinghams record breaking move to Dortmund

James 23-07-2020 04:07 PM

^ I wonder if Mock has any comment on that.

Denver 23-07-2020 04:14 PM

Also the police are investigating after a Man U fan racially a used him on Twotter after he rejected the club for Dortmund

From what I worked out the reason it was retired is because he could have left for free and Birmingham are close to administration so he signed a professional contract with the club so they could make a hell of a lot of money from him.

Ah ... no worries .

I was just disappointed.. I’d love to see a really great Leeds United playing in the Prem again .. looks like they need some real investment though .. certainly a proven scorer / CF ..

I can see Giroud tempting them .

Willian would be a good signing for them as well as he’s apparently out of contract.

It's a bit odd imo considering he only played a season for us.

Our owners are bigger clowns than Boris Johnson though so I can't be too surprised.

This reason wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

And hopefully the racist scum will get named and shamed after their comment towards Bellingham.
