It's not meant in a racist way. Either put a ban on any housemate being called a rat or none.

So being nice now means ignoring people who try to speak to you 3 times when you first meet them, refusing point blank to get someone a glass of water (when asked nicely), trying to cause an argument by hiding L's blanket and pretending he was "tidying up" - after telling Brooke he thought they should do it themselves?

and that's just with Lewis... look at how many times he's been nasty with Cameron.

Cameron won't take any nonsense from Hussain. He will put him in his place.

You love him because he is gunning for the 2 housemates you dislike the most..wait until he targets one of your favorites..you might not see him in the same light as you do now

Never called him a rat but i’d guess people aren’t being racist when calling him it(never heard of rat as a racist term anyway) but are calling him it because of his scrawny little rat face maybe.

pontyboi 15-10-2018 01:04 PM

What about the rats feelings? Double standards.

I don't think we can blanket ban people being called rats as it happens every year. I do think constantly saying 'rat boy' instead of his name is ridiculous though and not quite the same as using rat as an insult once or twice, and this started with one member but yesterday I saw another 2 pick it up. Its pathetic tbh. Just like the housemate nicknames that usually run rampant but luckily we don't seem to have had this year so far.

(And I also agree with people not calling Lewis a wifebeater. But it looks like thats already sorted as the threads closed and James replied twice)

Or because they think he has a ratbag personality tendencies?

I think this is a bit of a OTT thread as is the Lewis one but people do like to clutch when it comes to favourites.

Yeah. “rat” was used by the American Italian Mafia for people who informed on them to the cops or “ratted them out”.
It’s a character trait meaning sly or two faced.

No one's asking him to be, but he should be consistent instead of saying one thing and then doing another.

Rat's are sneaky, rat out people to each other etc... I don't see the racist connotation

But I also got shtick as an apparent racist for calling out Isaac as a thug for his aggressive behaviour (which I also said about Conor on his series).. people are just selectively looking for -ists these days

rph 15-10-2018 02:52 PM

Nope i aint gonna stop calling him what he is - a rat - sneaky player who should be gone asap

Can we also put a ban on fat shaming?

Or do you only appeal if you actually like the person, Adam?
