Colin Farrell is playing Penguin?

The following are all of the confirmed casted DC characters: Robert Pattinson - Bruce Wayne/Batman Zoe Kravitz - Selina Kyle/Catwoman Paul Dano - Edward Nashton/Riddler Colin Farrell - Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin Andy Serkis - Alfred Pennyworth Jeffrey Wright - Commissioner Gordon John Turturro - Carmine Falcone |
I still think Serkis is being wasted by playing Alfred.
He should've played an antagonist like Penguin or Hugo Strange. |
Come on, he was born to play Penguin. Just look at him!

I have mixed feelings about Robert Pattinson tbh. His voice isn't it when it comes to Batman and I felt my eyes roll a bit with his vengeance line, he just doesn't have a deep enough voice, I think. His Bruce Wayne look is a bit off as well, he doesn't look like the playboy millionaire he's pretending to be. I did like how he looked when he took his mask off though, some very good face acting there. I don't think he's particular well suited to play the character but he's definitely a good enough actor to change my mind.

This looks great! Really looking forward to it!
As trailers go, it's better than a lot of modern ones which give away most of the movie's plot ... I know only about a quarter of this was filmed before lockdown, but still :joker: |
The Riddler's real name is meant to be Edward Nygma, and having a riddle-based villain called E. Nygma is a bit on the nose, so I can see why they changed that :joker: though I always assumed it was an alias anyway.
With it being early in Batman's career, featuring the Riddler, and having Bats on a motocycle, it makes me wonder if it's gonna be a take on the Zero Year storyline from the comics. Spoiler: The black kid is Duke Thomas, who then-writer Scott Snyder (no relation) really wanted to be the new Robin, but he wasn't allowed to use anyone but Damian Wayne... He was allowed to turn him into his own hero, called Signal, and he did wear a customised Robin outfit for one or two storylines though. With movies wanting to diversify their cast, Duke could be the movie's Robin? On a similar note, I've never really given a crap about race-bending when it comes to casting, so Commissioner Jim Gordon doesn't bother me, but I really love Babs Gordon aka the first Batgirl being a redhead :joker: in the comics she was originally adopted, and Jim's biological niece, so she could technically still be a ginge if they use her character. |

In case you missed him, or didn't recognise him like I did, this is Colin Farrell's Penguin.
Holy crap! https://comicvine1.cbsistatic.com/up...8181683487.jpg |
I've seen the trailer. I think this looks really good!
|
He looks good as Batman tbh. He does look abit weird as Bruce Wayne though.

Were there any glimpses of Dano’s Riddler? |
Looking forward to this one.

Release has been pushed back/delayed until March 2022.

Actually looks phenomenally good.
|
The cinematography is mind blowing. We’re in for a real treat here.
Robert Pattinson will be a brilliant Batman, Paul Dano is pretty much phenomenal in everything he’s in so he’s going to be a cracking Riddler. Colin Farrell is completely unrecognisable as Penguin - brilliant. |
it does look good
