In future, just bloody tell him instead of forcing yourself to eat stuff

And when my mother in law is trying to pretend shes eating, she uts everything up and kind of smushed it together in the middle of the plate..its so ****ing obvious but she still does it. Not that easy to do though if..say..your plate is overflowing as your dad thought you would love it though :D

I have a thing about not being straight up because I don’t like hurting people’s feelings  I wanted to give it a try though, even though I knew I probably wouldn’t like it. Which was a bad idea in hindsight.

Do you eat foods you don't like? Does that make you ungrateful?

Stop being a prat.

What exactly is a cottage cheese lasagne? Just a plate of cottage cheese?

I’m ungrateful because I don’t like cottage cheese? You literally make no sense

But given his handwringing about what to do with a meal that tasted like trash, I think its clear he was grateful for the thought, but forcing yourself to eat stuff you don't like is..pointless. Especially when your reason for doing so is that..people elsewhere are starving. Thats not a good idea to make yourself ill :nono:

What if you don't know what they are making until its plonked infront of you, while they have a huge smile and sweat running down their face off all the work they have put in? And its like..sprouts coated in chocolate or something.

People who would usually cook for me know to ask me first unless I am at my nan's and she always does my faves

No food got wasted though.

After trying a some and not liking it, it was scraped back into the dish it was served in, and will be reheated for my dads lunch tomorrow. There’s no waste, no problem.

Ross. 19-06-2019 11:07 PM

Will you all bloody shut up about the cottage cheese lasagne!
