Absolutely... I know we love to make fun of Ru and Michelle's stories of taking baseball bats to the projects and earning a buffalo nickel doing uppers, downers and candy corn on the J train, but at least their decades-long friendship translates into charisma on the TV screen

Jeffrey couldn't even make the "here at Tynomi Banks, we lost interest" pun funny, which is a clear sign to me that he belongs nowhere near the panel

Saph 10-07-2020 12:51 PM

they've gone for looks over charisma

Captain.Remy 10-07-2020 02:32 PM

They need to hire a big name in comedy to join the panel next season. They can alternate with Jeffrey if they like, as they do with Carlson/Ross. But like, something needs to happen.

MB. 10-07-2020 02:34 PM

Personally, I think the big name in comedy they should hire is Kyne

UserSince2005 10-07-2020 02:35 PM

Catherine Ryan is the only "funny" Canadian I can think of.

zrc 10-07-2020 02:38 PM

Stick colin and Justin on the panel, not like either are doing anything.

(I mean, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Mike Myers, Dan Akroyd, Rick Moranis, Jim Carrey, Samantha Bee and Nathan Fielder would probably disagree with you, but sure)

TBH i know next to nothing about Canadian culture, its always been a blip in my knowledge of the world.

I've never even visited!

I am loving watching the show to learn their idioms and such.

Favourite from last episode was that they call a quid a loonie and 2 quid a toonie ahaha.

Samm 10-07-2020 04:50 PM

the kyne experience short lived but gracious. can't argue that tynomi out lip-synched her though. acting challenges are always hit and miss with me, meh. jimbo served it again. queen. anastarzia was one of the most heartbreaking stories omg

anastarzia (+1)
jimbo (-1)
kyne
llona
tynomi
lemon
rita

boa (-6)
priyanka
scarlett
kiara

Captain.Remy 10-07-2020 05:13 PM

Tom Green would be gold as a panelist too. And yeah we need Jim Carrey someday!

Tom Green's one of the not-technically-a-judge "guest hosts" this season, so if you ever wanted to hear him say "good luck and don't **** it up", you're in luck

Why does lemon remind me of a mix between Cheryl hole and Blair st Clair

Beso 10-07-2020 10:13 PM

Has anyone named themselves Burning rubber?

UserSince2005 10-07-2020 10:19 PM

Also love how they are only doing lip syncs to songs by Canadian artists.

Ready to see them bop out to Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen.

zrc 10-07-2020 10:29 PM

Ah Canadian Artists. That's why I don't know any of them.

Samm 10-07-2020 10:52 PM

I mean the last two songs are still kind of gay classics.

Samm 10-07-2020 10:53 PM

anyway canadian artists.. grimes lip sycn is coming WIG

Jigs 11-07-2020 12:40 AM

Give us Avril!

I'm so confused, I genuinely didn't even notice who Lemon was in the challenge so how the hell did she win :conf2: Rita was the funniest and should've won, let alone been top 3. Kiara and Priyanka overacted horribly.

But yeah... that episode somehow managed to be worse than the premiere:
- Not a clue who the host was, didn't add anything
- Jeffrey had all of the lines and injected charisma into none of them
- Both teams were of a Shakesqueer standard (BOA, Scarlett, Ilora, Kyne, Tynomi, Kiara and Priyanka all grated/floundered), although Rita/Jimbo/Anastarzia did fine. Only time I managed a smirk was at Rita and Anastarzia stretchering Kiara off and teabagging her.
- Preview blew the "I forgive you :)" moment out of proportion, and it was petty of Brooke Lynn to bring that to the judges' table.
- Runways were okay, none showed huge improvements on their photos and Lemon probably only won because of the glow-up from episode one.

I think the chief problem with this show is that the show's biggest example of drag success is someone who won 3 challenges in her season, and was a lipsync assassin, and still couldn't beat someone with one shared challenge win. I find it hard to respect what she says. She looks impeccable but there is just nothing in her that commands a stage.

I think I'm done here.

I thought this was going to be shocking judging by the comments here but I enjoyed episode one a lot!

The presenting was awkward but I liked almost all of the queens and the lip sync was sick

Saph 12-07-2020 09:58 AM

its just SO boring.. it actually makes me really appreciate Ru and Michelle

Jigs 12-07-2020 05:16 PM

1. Kiara
2. Tynomi

3. Anastarzia
4. Scarlett
5. Jimbo

6. Lemon
7. Priyanka
8. Ilona

9. Rita
10. BOA

11. Kyne

Tom4784 12-07-2020 09:29 PM

I actually liked the second episode a lot, Jeffrey's still an anchor weighing the show down but Stacey and Brook are already becoming more tolerable (I liked how they both offered constructive criticism, Stacey instructing them how to walk the runway better was cute). The cast feels a lot stronger in this episode than the last and the acting challenge was a typical acting challenge tbh.

I think the main issue is that the producers making the decisions don't really know what they are doing. The choices for the winners in both challenges have been bizarre and there's some real odd top and bottom choices too. The bottom two should have been BOA and Tynomi.

reece(: 15-07-2020 11:31 AM

Finished episode 1

Love Miss Kyne messy monster <3
I actually loved the guest host wish she was a judge over ****in Jeffrey, as for the guest host role itself it felt a bit awkward and that Brooke was hosting anyway...

Some of it really missed the mark for me but I’ll stick with it.
