I'm glad you're annoyed. It makes me happy to know you're annoyed at something.

Ah so we’re still belittling people that care about the future of the planet enough to try and do make a change? Got it.

They need to try and do what they’re doing, without putting people off because humans are fickle, selfish creatures, we say we care about things, until it comes to trying to make things better and its deemed as too inconvenient or too ‘radical’.

Their message is great, it’s literally what the world needs right now, they need to cut back on the vandalism though.

Get your kicks wherever you can I guess

Just get used to climate protests. They are here to stay. For the rest of your life :)

I'll send that £50 in the post, first thing in the morning.

Thanks Kaz, you're not too bad yourself.

I agree with all that you've said.

They do need to just ease off as to some things they engage in.
It shouldn't cloud the strong message they are trying to highlight.

Also our media will only pounce on anything negative they do too.
Then the lip service public join in showing only contempt for those trying to highlight the serious issues.
Avoiding said serious issues.

You shouldn't bother, I'm loving life. What's not to love, we get independence from the EU Empire in a few weeks.

Yeah, cos making people laugh on a forum instead of the boring oft - quoted 'pearl clutching' is such a tragic thing. Poor Alf. :worry:

I thought the thread was about Extinction Rebellion - not Alf's Colon Cleanse.

I don't think anyone, anywhere is opposed to peaceful protest, 1300 arrests and counting, 7 stabbings in London over the weekend, and I wonder how many other crimes have been committed while the police are overstretched in this way.

...I guess that I was wrong that the voice would be lost atm with all things Brexit...what is wonderful to see daily, is how much children are engaged with their planet and the impacts of climate change...

Agreed, its their future and their children's future so needs addressing, quickly. My sons school have a whole school topic on how little things can help. Matthew keeps walking round the house behind me, switching off lights and telling me what we should recycle. He's obsessed.

...Matthew.....yeah for so long, many of us have been doing so much, in schools and homes etc...it’s time for the politicians to prioritise in the same way...

It is time politicians prioritised this issue.

I agree and AnnieK's post is really heartening to read too.

It is the present children and their children's future and world we are allowing to be destroyed.

Complacency has no place in this issue.
As you indicate, it's children leading the way more at times on the dangers.

Politicians have failed badly and still are, they do need to now make this a priority.
I won't hold my breath on that however.

Nothing wrong with 'ego inflation' when it's deserved,at least Alf brings a few laughs to the site ,which is sadly lacking at the moment.
