my ranking (pre-launch show)
1) Erol Sander (for me personally one of best male actor signings they brought to the show, more or less bit high profile) 2) Valentina Pahde (good high profile soap actress, easily recognizable name due to one of most popular soap characters Sunny Richter) 3) Rúrik Gislason (am begging he can dance a bit well since he has potential already how he looks like a ''Thor'' hunk) 4) Jan Hofer (am hoping he can be a slow improver since i find him very likeable) 5) Auma Obama (she intrigues me somehow) 6) Kim Riekenberg (she has no wiki page ok, but i read good things about her, having been on cover of many popular magazines already) 7) Mickie Krause (his schlager work is good fun hope he can be a fun contestant too) 8) Kai Ebel (LOVE LOVE him at Formula 1 races as a interviewer, hope he can stick around past first weeks and slowly improve) 9) Lola Weippert (don't know her but she looks nice too, and trashtv is kinda popular atm for german younger audience) 10) Simon Zachenhuber (rising new boxing star, could have some potential due to his sportsman mentality) 11) Nicolas Puschmann (intriguing to see a first male same-sex couple i guess) 12) Senna Guemmour (boring signing, last of monrose ladies to do this show but i guess she has potential) 13) Ilse DeLange (random signing a la Loiza last year, don't know how far she'll last) 14) Vanessa Neigert (can see her performances getting comments like ''why is Katy Perry on lets dance'' :skull: i like DSDS contestants so i hope she'll surprise me) |

some of the benched pro's have reasons for not being on this series
Massimo: he will become a father for first time this year, so he'll skip this years show, to support his wife Rebecca (whom he met at lets dance when they got coupled up, she is a reality star, presenter) Isabel: she is pregnant herself for 3rd time, but she will be a mentor for the newer pro dancers this series anyway Erich: was against a lets dance show amid pandemic, despite the show having been massively more popular last year amid covid-19 pandemic, so he got ditched for his negativity Regina: no comment, but due to flopping 2 years in a row Nikita: failed with Sabrina Setlur last year Alona: also failed in the eyes of producers |
it will again work the same as last year, with the couples taking place where normally the audience sits, socially distanced with sofa's
and a isolation hotel, no outside vt's whatsoever, also photoshoot crew are in the isolation hotel, to make official promo shots which will likely get released few days before the show perhaps all couples will still be able to virtually contact family, friends through zoom, skype and some messages will be seen during the show after a performance either (same as last year) |
I'll come and join the conversation. Looking forward to this series, this is one of the foreign versions of Strictly that I like following, not least because they actually put videos of the dances online without adverts! :)

I find it weird that so many long term pros aren't there. Obviously Massimo & Isabel are unavailable due to being on parental leave but surprised that Erich is gone. What was with his negativity? Regina never made a final and did have two bad years so not too surprised nor with Nikita who couldn't dance ballroom. Alona deserved another chance and they really should have brought Ekaterina back.
Hope that Marta & Robert get good partners, they always get the duds. I'm not from Germany so can't comment much on the cast but not sure if there are much good dancers of this year's male celebs, 4 are over 50 and two of the others are athletes which can be hit and miss. Some of the women might be good based on first impression. Auma is an interesting signing for sure. |

curious who are in which groups, sometimes you can guess the pairings from who dances with who in the groups but sometimes you can't (like last year Moritz didn't dance with Renata in group dance, and Ailton didn't dance with Isabel in group dance) and curious who will win immunity for the first week |

Marta getting a rather good one compared to other years when she got the duffer Christina having the one i wanted for her, she's a good choice for Jan and vice versa, he's such a lovely, likeable somewhat adorable man and i didn't think he was bad at all (for his age) in the viennese waltz group Nicolas & Vadim, hmmm first same-sex dancing i enjoyed actually, he feels more likeable than a Kerstin, and also he has good sense of rhythm, musicality i saw in quickstep Christian made a good choice himself with Lola, she is a loose cannon but she can dance thats for sure, all he needs to do is get that control in her, teach her the right basics, bit of storytelling and i'm sure they could be a force to be reckoned with Kim surprised me in a positive way, i thought she would pose too much (what most models tend to come across as) but she did ok in salsa group, and i like what i see from Pasha so yes excited what his own choreo skills will be like as for hosts, Victoria with her new hair style she looks stunning, sexy, beautiful :love: and i thought she oozed more confidence in her presenting skills compared to previous years :clap2: |
Interesting that both Lusins got the highest scoring celeb of each gender, is it their last year and RTL wants them both in the final? Glad that Rurik, Nicolas & Simon all have potential, was worried that none of the men would be any good.
Erol & Marta will be interesting, they could do quite well. Christian choosing Lola was a surprise, she was around the middle of the leaderboard. Maybe he just wanted the youngest celeb? |
