Yes, you want a programme as a distraction from Covid-19 so switch on a fundraiser put together by WHO about that very topic. :joker:

I mean I see your point but at the end of the day there were more clips of the stories and messages we see elsewhere than there were the performances (which was the main drawing point for many). Of course there’s going to be references to the current situation but not 60% of the whole show.

Should've watched the original concert itself online then and not the programme the BBC made themselves of the original event. :hee:

if u thought that was dreadful by BBC, wait until you guys see eurovision: come together with a dreadfully long interview with james newman :skull:

while rest of europe has focus on entire class of esc2020, focus on eurofans themselves (some there in a skype group performance with johnny logan - whats another year) yes we will have clips of coronacrisis included but more done in a beautiful way (with some of most emotional past esc songs handpicked for those moments)

also we got 4 hosts from empty studio, so i kinda was thinking ok maybe shine a light could look similar like that with the bbc hosts in that empty studio

but then again now is not the time to complain or moan about those sort of things

Well I’d I’ve assumed the BBC would have shown more performances than it actually did. When they said ‘highlights from the event’ I was expecting 2 hours worth of clips with a few cutaways to the presenters sending links from home not a comic relief ripoff with 10 performances fff

They had to change the concept to the NHS as it wouldnt make sense to show the clips of the American doctors pr what not

Morgan. 20-04-2020 02:33 PM

And when they opened up the show with ‘put away your wallets, we don’t want any donations tonight we are just simply looking at the highlights from yesterday’s show’ I’d have assumed it would have been less of a fundraiser than it was.

That wasn’t my point?

Denver 20-04-2020 02:35 PM

But your point is that you didnt want the virus mentioned on a show dedicated to the virus

Denver 20-04-2020 02:35 PM

It was obvious they would have many discussions about it

No my point was that I didn’t want the show to be completely about the virus. Sure throw a few clips in, but to have more of the show about the virus than about the concert is just random to me.

better off just watching clips of it off youtube. I'm sure all the performances/appearances would be individually on there. Got sick of the BBC version after about half an hour and did exactly that.

The british public are more likely to get behind the NHS then any other countries medical assistants

Cherie 20-04-2020 05:19 PM

It would have nice if they gave some thought to it’s presentation rather than wheeling out a tired comic relief type format minus the phone lines
