So what you're describing isn't a "job environment" at all, because if you don't like your job and the corporate structure, you're free to leave that job and find another path without being vilified for it. Apparently, the Royal Family is a job that you have to accept, politely, and never dare try to quit?

And people are suggesting this is a good thing?

The Queen offered Meghan the chance not to do the job from the off, and she didn't take it.
Of course you can quit but you shouldn't expect to still be paid by Daddy, to have the same tax funded security, to have the perks without the graft....and that is what they demanded at the start of their departure in their 'leaving' announcement they posted on their Instagram page, without informing the Queen or palace first, there for all to see - to their astonishment.

Of course you can quit, but its not the quitting, its the WAY you go about it and how you conduct yourself afterwards....and its been one long litany of self - interest, selfishness, bad decisions, untruths, hypocrisy, tackiness, airing their dirty laundry, me me me whine whine whine ever since.

Did you actually read the article?

It hasn't gone ahead because of coronavirus and Harry is still attached to it.

Supporting your family will and should always be the most important thing.

"According to an Invictus spokesperson, the event was 'shelved' due to the Covid-19 pandemic and was a decision independent of the Netflix deal being signed.

The event was shelved because the primary revenue generator was ticket sales from a live concert in Los Angeles in the spring of 2021.

'Given current circumstances with Covid, the event needed to be reconceptualised.

'This was an independent decision made prior to a partnership with Netflix. The duke remains committed as ever to the Invictus Games.'

The 2020 Invictus Games which was due to be held in April were called off because of the coronavirus pandemic."

Perhaps you also skipped half the article and went straight to the toxic chav comments, LT?

Very insulting TS, given the first half of the article is centred around -
Quote:

According to a report in the Sunday Times, the lawyer cited a 'conflict' of plans with another streaming service.
Which I read elsewhere as the reason, and the conflict was with Amazon.

The next half cites coronavirus, according to an Invictus spokesperson, as the reason.
So we don't know for sure which is correct.

How come you skipped the first half? Reading comprehension problem? :nono:

The quote TS used is PR statement from INvictus (ie bollox)

the Sunday Times got to the actual story

Officials at the foundation were reportedly 'stunned' after a lawyer for the Sussexes informed them they would not be going ahead with the event last week, shortly before the Netflix deal was announced.

According to a report in the Sunday Times, the lawyer cited a 'conflict' of plans with another streaming service.

A source involved in the planning of the event told the publication: 'It's very bad form and everyone at Invictus is gutted.

If he didn’t want that for himself and his wife he should of left before getting the tax payer to pay something like 6 million for his wedding and invite lots of a list celebrities to it.

Oh and look they went to those same celebrities to get help in the form of private jets and free accommodation in mansions.

They used the he tax payers money and his royal heritage to set themselves up in their new life you know the private life they said they wanted for them selves and son.

They then jumped on their he racial bandwagon because the queen saw right thru them wanting to us the royal branding to live on while condemning the royals

And now he's apparently going to do a Netflix docu on Diana's life. Making money off his late mother again. Dear Lord, hope this isn't true.

You don’t know them and you don’t know me.

Try giving an opinion on the thread topic not the people in it.

I mean more than half this forum is about having opinions on people we don't know personally :joker:

When BB was in full swing - 'how dare you have an opinion on a hm you don't know personally'

In that case, what's the point of any forum, ever? lol

To... have an opinion on them as people... yes you kind of do.

Making assumptions about who strangers may be based on tabloids is foolish.

ffs

Having an opinion on a BB housemate.... doing something in BB is not the same.
But you know that.

So to be clear, no one should have an opinion on someone they don't know personally? Be that a politician, a royal, a celeb, a terrorist etc? Ok :)

Exactly but anything to keep up the obsession with Meghan and harry. You would think after the toxic hate people give they would be tired of it by now and move on but it lives on.

Swan 06-09-2020 08:59 PM

We form opinions based on people's actions in the public eye. This is nothing new, but Harry and Megan should be immune to this because?

If you're not going to read a post, don't bother replying to it. x :)

If you have an opinion on a politician's politics, great. A Royal's royal duties, great.
A terrorists actions, great.

Commenting on a "celeb" or otherwise whose personal life you have no idea of? Foolish.

People commenting like they know Harry and Meghan personally is laughable. The comments about Harry not realising his own wife doesn't love him will be along in a minute.
