Win? I've asked you a question four times and you have failed to even attempt to answer it.

This is interesting, how one earth are you coming to these conclusions? Please explain.

GiRTh 15-11-2020 10:14 PM

Oh and answer the question too.

5th time. How is this a 'woke' move? You made this comment in the other thread on this topic.

Is that what you think I'm about on here? Baiting? I'd like I think I was definitely NOT about that. Maybe I need to reassess my approach. I'm disappointed that you think so little of me - and that is genuine. Your first post, to me, seemed like you were asking a genuine question so I'm saddened that our discussion has come to this.

Have a good evening and I'll pick this up and have a genuine discussion with you whenever you are ready.

I hope BBC News at 10 snap up Alison

...Alison Hammond has become such a skilled presenter and it’s lovely to see her progressing from our own BB housemate days......I actually like Rylan as well as a presenter and he also seems like a lovely person, as does Alison...good luck to them if they’re the chosen Morning faces.....

Not being open about your sexuality Isn’t a sackable offence, if they sacked everyone who wasn’t 100% truthful to their partners at all times, there’d be nobody left on tv

Totally agree. She'll be great if she gets the regular job.

People’s personal life are irrelevant to the work life, it’s not illegal so it doesn’t matter

GiRTh 16-11-2020 11:01 AM

I'd be happy if they axed the whole show TBH. Its a bit of a tired format these days.

...I can’t actually think of anyone more joyful/uplifting for daytime TV...when Alison laughs, the whole world laughs, she’s so contagiously bubbly ......a perfect personality, I would have said...and because it’s live, I’m imagining some hilarious ‘oooooops/errors’ from her as well.....I hope so, anyway...

I would agree if there were a vacancy, but to oust someone from the job they have done for years is very poor, and it seems they were the last to know

but then ITV have a track record of not caring about their staff, sacking Fern to install Holly because Pip felt he was being overshadowed

If you sacked someone for a personal issue that is not illegal and does not impact or impede their job you'd be up before an employment tribunal before you can say wrongful dismissal

Agree. The business is ruthless and I think the way they treat older presenters is terrible.

Spot on..

Swan 16-11-2020 12:41 PM

Been a while since i watched, and when i did it wasn't much so i don't really care who presents it. Though i would have preferred Phil to get the sack, he's on telly enough, he's in every other ad nowadays it seems! I would literally go out of my way not to sell my car to webuyanycar.com after seeing so many of the dire ads he appears in!

rusticgal 16-11-2020 03:26 PM

Well people who work in the public domain whether its Television/sport/public figure DO get asked to resign if they do something in their private lives that does not represent the Brand they represent...

Of course Philip Schofield would never be sacked for what he did....but it certainly changed peoples opinion of him with regard to wife.

Putting her health at risk? Fraud?

Give your head a wobble.

That never happened. Fern quit. She has told the story several times.

Because she hated the production of the show.

Leaving a job because you no longer like it how the company has changed is NOT the same as being "sacked".
