Those were great Liverpool teams in the 70's and early 80's but I dont remember great Liverpool teams in the early 90's, so no, I dont think many teams in history could have lived with that Milan team. They are possibly the best team I've ever seen. They were physical, their offside trap was so well orchestrated teams hardly got a shot on goal, and they even changed the rules to stop their offside trap, and up front that had two of the greatest of all time.
The player who also deserves mention was Ancelotti. Underrated player. And i I was to list the managers in the Premiership in terms of how good a player they were, only Lampard comes close to Ancelotti. Dont get me started on Guardiola being a great player. Guardiola was a good player not a great player. |
