Gullit is underrated and that's all I have to say about it. He was so damn impressive.

He had more than a couple of years at the top. This was at the time when Berlusconi was President of Milan and the turnover of players was ridiculous. Do you remember they bought Jean Pierre Papin and he was European top scorer when they bought him and then they didnt play him. There was much speculation that Milan were buying players just so other teams couldnt get them. That Milan team was a dominant a team as I've ever seen and Gullit was a big part of that dominance. I'd even go as for as to possibly include Roberto Donadoni if I was to make a list like this cuz he too was incredible in that team.

I was a big fan of that team. Can you tell. :joker:

Had English clubs not been banned from Europe at the time, that Milan team might not have been as successful. Up until the ban, English clubs were dominant in Europe and Liverpool still had a great team around the time of Milan's dominance.

It's always a toss of a coin who's the greatest French player, they're tough to split. So who do you think is gonna be number 11?

Captain.Remy 16-12-2020 08:29 PM

That's my boy right there! My dad was crazy about him.
A record of 41 goals for France that got beat by Thierry Henry in 2007 (I think it was 2007 or something?)
Anyway, a super talented guy but ended up corrupt. A shame, but he left a reall good legacy.

Those were great Liverpool teams in the 70's and early 80's but I dont remember great Liverpool teams in the early 90's, so no, I dont think many teams in history could have lived with that Milan team. They are possibly the best team I've ever seen. They were physical, their offside trap was so well orchestrated teams hardly got a shot on goal, and they even changed the rules to stop their offside trap, and up front that had two of the greatest of all time.

The player who also deserves mention was Ancelotti. Underrated player. And i I was to list the managers in the Premiership in terms of how good a player they were, only Lampard comes close to Ancelotti. Dont get me started on Guardiola being a great player. Guardiola was a good player not a great player.

Get the hell out :joker: :joker: You did NOT give him 11th place!

GiRTh 16-12-2020 08:32 PM

I'd put Zidane higher than 11 too.

GiRTh 16-12-2020 08:32 PM

I sense there are some jokers coming up if Zidane is 11th.
