It was not clear at all that your post referred to 'now' as it almost immediately followed mine which was about her past pregnancy. There were no other posts of relevance that you would have been referring to?
I don't see how there was anything rude or hostile in my post, I answered you exactly the same way I would have responded to the post if it had came from someone else.

Basically my long post came down to them wanting privacy, yet posting good news about the pregnancy..

I feel if they didn't announce it,. people would kick off? And its not something thats easily hidden either. Not for long anyway

That's the crux of it - they can't take any criticism at all, which is why they are making such a big deal of 'we are leading in the mission to make social media nicer', as if it isn't being done already by more influential and knowledgeable voices than theirs.
It's all about THEM wanting total control, jumping on the latest fashionable bandwagon and being the perennial victims.

...I think, though...that we do have and have had so many multiple threads which dislike can be and has been expressed, it would have just been nice to have had this one positive thread for their wonderful news....and I know that not any type of physical harm has been expressed in the pregnancy, I don’t think that would have ever been thought to happen anyway...but as always, negativity seems to be found ...it’s the wrong photo type/ it’s the wrong way to announce and etc...it’s impossible not to understand their decision to try to take back control of their lives and escape the hostility of it all...
