She’s been poorly but seems to be passed the worst ( hopefully) though so many do improve then get really poorly around day 10 don’t they .

She’s a teacher so she’s mentally/ physically frazzled anyway after the last year or so ... plus near constant morning sickness hasn’t helped.

She described it like having a chest infection ..

I’m sure I’ve heard of quite a few getting it twice ??

It’s more than likely the Indian variant as it’s rife at the school she works at .

I hope she has a speedy recovery

Yeah I had my first one last week because of an illness in the family.

Yes you are correct .. she’s not had any vaccines as yet .. she wasn’t eligible ( age wise) and they weren’t sure about vaccines for pregnant women’s few weeks ago

Recently published data ( just a few days ago) suggests that pregnant women SHOULD get vaccinated now as it greatly helps against still births if they get Covid ..

It’s all come too late for her this time ... maybe she’ll consider it in a few months?!

It’s a dilemma .... the other complication is that her hubby doesn’t have any faith at all - in Covid vaccines :(

its a dilemma for sure, good luck to her, at least she will have antibodies now until she gives birth and then she can decide.

Congrats

probably not as the vaccine wasn't recommended for pregnant women, though that might have changed now

My sister in law is pregnant and has had hers, she did masses of research on it (she's a very intelligent and clued in woman) and spoke to Doctors about it and decided that the benefits massively out weighed any possible side effects

It wasn't recommended here up until a few weeks ago, so she wouldn't have been eligible previously
