Basically if he doesnt get convicted, the 'she lied!!!!!!!! See, the courts agree!!!!!' stuff will start and the woman will be vilified. Because so many idiots think not being convicted = innocent.

Yeah more footballers need to be held accountable & face consequences when they've actually done wrong, whole thing is messed up . It's bad enough they're overpaid.

well if there is not enough evidence to convict then there is not enough evidence to convict

equally, there are many who ignore that fact too

:think: Who? The only people who could meaningfully "ignore that" would be the court system in which case they would convict, meaning, there was NOT not enough evidence to convict. A paradox.

"Not enough evidence to convict" has no bearing and need have no bearing at all on public opinion... courts don't get to dictate that, I'm afraid.
