and after that amount of rainfall, our weather people said most of that drought problem had been restored, so if there'll be a drought from upcoming tuesday possible chance of a 40 or 42C, i cannot see why that huge amount of rainfall can happen again either at some point i just don't easily panic, and i'm already relieved that is just one day of in the 40, and immediately few days after, some thunderstorms and rain, upcoming thursday here fall back to 22C almost 20 degrees lower lol but we seriously here need to postpone Nijmeegse vierdaagse which is due to start on tuesday with that heat, thats not good for all the many elderly taking part in that https://www.weeronline.nl/nieuws/16-...ierdaagse-2022 dutch article from one of our dutch weather sites can be postponed by one day hopefully if they're smart and then finish one day later than normal, we should not have any hospitalisations from the heat |

wikipedia is like modern days Encarta and as if i'm against our climate, our nature, i do my personal share of having a lot of green in our garden, we got a lot of good drinking and bathing places for the wild birds, one with a fountain so moving fresh water, and one pond in my section, which i also refresh once every 2 or 3 weeks depending on how long it takes till it gets dirty also Africa gets a lot greener too what we see some places, some places there too get more rain than before, apart from Sahara Desert of course but nothing lives there |

I’m camped firmly indoors. I don’t want to get drenched in sweat the second I step outside.

Lovely today, I was babysitting my nieces wee 7 month old. Took him a long walk in the buggy thing, weather just perfect with a nice cooling breeze.
Wee bugger never slept the whole way, just sat there gargling away, kicking at his wee bear waving in front of him like a massive cuddle cushion. All the ladies stopped to chat. Might take him out tomorrow again when the pubs shut |

Advice to schools
To cope with the heatwave, school staff have been advised to follow “a raft of measures” such as: Encouraging children to wear “loose, light-coloured clothing” and “sunhats with wide brims” to school Open windows as early as possible in the morning before children arrive, or overnight to allow stored heat to escape the building Keeping the use of electric light to a minimum and switching off electric equipment, such as computers, when not in use Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
