People should be respectful in general ,but unfortunately the world is full of nasty people who think it's ok to go around stabbing & attacking others .

When I was at school,thank goodness I didn't hear about any stabbings happening around . But today it's crazy.

Well that's good news at least.

just goes to show how things can change so quickly this time last week two or three families were going about their business as usual, now they are grieving the lost loss of two daughters and a son in the most horrible of circumstances

I think it's of course very likely that her being trans played a part in why she was targetted - I think it's a massive over-simplification to suggest that that's the whole story here but it's what will, I expect, get the most focus. As was touched on earlier in this thread the focus should be on (what I suspect is) the increasing violence amongst teens and in schools, and the fact that most schools seem to have "zero tolerance policies" that are little more than lip service when it comes down to it. Schools will consistently turn a blind eye if they think they can get away with it, and then play dumb later like they didn't know there was an issue.

A detailed plan to kill Brianna Ghey was found in the bedroom of a teenage girl who is accused of her murder, a court has heard.

Two teenagers, referred to as girl X and boy Y, are charged with murdering Brianna, a 16-year-old transgender girl who was stabbed in Culcheth Linear Park, near Warrington, Cheshire, on 11 February.

On Tuesday, the trial heard that girl X sent a picture to her co-accused of a handwritten note headed: “Saturday 11th February 2023. Victim: Brianna Ghey.”

The paper read: “Meet boy Y at wooden posts 1pm. Walk down to library... bus stop. Wait until Brianna gets off bus then the three of us walk to Linear Park. Go to the pipe/tunnel area.

“I say code word to boy Y. He stabs her in the back as I stab her in the stomach. Boy Y drags the body into the area. We both cover up the area with logs etc.”

Brianna, a transgender teenager who had been born a boy but lived as a girl, was stabbed 28 times with a hunting knife in her head, chest, back and neck.

They planned to kill him by hanging him with a rope in Linear Park, attempting to lure him out via a fake Instagram account created by X, the jury heard.

But the court was told E soon blocked the fake account, and so X said: “If we can’t get E tomorrow we can kill Brianna.” Y agreed, the jury heard, saying: “Yeah, it’ll be easier and I want to see if it will scream like a man or a girl.

I’m not sure these two deserve to see the light of day again .. it sounds like the script for a horror story

…I’m not going to follow the trial in the media either…/…I can’t see any reasoning to do that for me…to have those ‘details’….there was a headline this morning on my homepage relating Brianna’s last text to her mom, just too heartbreaking to click on any such story …💔…it’s all about justice now and hoping that comes for Brianna and her family…to be a parent/family member/loved one and to be there through the trial…it’s just beyond any comprehension…

I am interested in the motivation, it seems they just wanted to kill someone...anyone would do kind of thing to get a sick thrill, I also want to know whether these kids are in care or have families and whether we are looking at a a case where they had upbringings like Jamie Bulgers killers
