Fortuna Sittard, because we have a very decent club history, have delivered our fair share of decent later on international top players like Mark van Bommel, Fernando Ricksen (Fernando gone way too soon of that horrible ALS illness :bawling:)

we had Bert van Marwijk as a coach here, father-in-law of Van Bommel btw

but also cult icons like Ronald Hamming, Joost Volmer

and have sympathy for them, from near bankruptcy to being saved by a turkish owner and getting back to highest level, and showing more ambitions again to remain competing on the highest level but also showing entertaining attractive football to the fans

another rising star we got currently is Tijjani Noslin, could've gone to Millwall for 2 million but he said no, he is scouted by former international Wesley Sneijder fun fact

also supertalented goalkeeper in Ivor Pandur, very trustworthy, most saves of the league next to AZ's Matthew Ryan this season so far :clap2:

Is that your home Club Nicky?

no

our home club is PSV, but also FC Eindhoven

we have two teams, and from the two i like rooting for FC Eindhoven more, the oldest of the two btw

their coach this season is one from the City Football Group: Willem Weijs

but i myself watch all of Fortuna's games in my own room (apart from when we face PSV, then downstairs with my dad who supports PSV, so that's gonna be a clash i think, although our teams aren't each others rivals so)

I’ve always supported Charlton Athletic, same as my dad, same as my grandad on my mum’s side (for some reason my mum likes West Ham but I think it’s because she likes the colour of the kit tbh). I’ve been going since around 98 so I’ve been fortunate enough to see us during our better years when we was in the prem up until 2007.

Also Charlton is my local team, I’ve met quite a lot of people who aren’t even Charlton fans but have been to seen them play back in the older days (pre 80s) when the ground was all standing and could hold 70,000. They always say how good it was back then and how family oriented the club has always been.

Fulham are known as a quieter fan base and it was a whole different experience…we have grown to be massive Fulham fans…

The Broadway bar was one of my favourite pubs in London. They had bar staff that spoke to you if the place was empty.. which it usually was on my visits. The posh resteraunt over the road and down a tiny street from it was also very pleasant.

Yeah, The Valley used to have a Massive capacity. I remember in the 80s when the old ground of the valley was quite derelict and falling apart and they ended up ground sharing with Crystal Palace at Selhurst park. Before The Valley was renovated.

I’ve always thought this about Fulham since it sits right next to the Thames. I’ve heard it’s a really good ground to go to though so it’s definitely one I want to visit when we get the chance.

Have you watched a game at The Valley before? Or have you just passed it when visiting London?

Apparently it was pretty bad by the mid 80s. I’ve got a few history books which show what the ground originally looked like and it’s crazy to see how many people attended the games. We ground shared with Crystal Palace and then West Ham in the early 90s. We moved back to the Valley in December 1992 with help from the fans who volunteered to clear the ground and help rebuild the stadium.

I went there once to watch Rugby league when the London Broncos played there. It was early 2000s

I'm amazed they got the pitch level on that hill.
