Mr. Vance opposes abortion rights, even in the case of incest or rape, but says there should be exceptions for cases when the mother’s life is in danger. He praised the U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade. As he ran for Senate in 2022, a headline on the issues section of his campaign website read simply: “Ban Abortion.”

That said, Mr. Vance, like Mr. Trump, opposes a national abortion ban, saying the issue should now be left to the states. “Ohio is going to want to have a different abortion policy from California, from New York, and I think that’s reasonable,” he said in an interview with USA Today Network in October 2022.

Project 2025 that wants to ban abortion nationally, both Trump and Vance have worked with, Vance specifically thanking them for all the hard work they put into ‘our’ policies.

This is a good point really. If an independent ever did realistically look like they were going to win, they'd likely be adopted by Red or Blue (whichever most closely aligns/is most willing to realign slightly)

Whats the thinking of Trump picking a guy who has viciously slagged him off for years ?

Surely that looks weak ??

Because the weirdo hootin' redneck Trumpists are not enough to get him over the line, he needs to entice some of the straighter-laced hard republicans.

Literally anyone straight-laced, by necessity, will have been a Trump detractor, as he is the opposite. Seems this one's sold his soul :joker:.

There is nothing wrong in that, and he cant just click his fingers for it to happen. Many have tried in the past, and failed. He wont be any different, but If that's his belief, then he should be free to have it.

Didn't Kamala Harris do the same when she became Bidens VP, she had previously called him racist iirc?

Not quite she said he had been defending racist endeavours

(I'm pretty sure she has called every main USA political figure a racist at some point tho)

She's allowed to, it's not Trump's side.

You'd be wrong. Trump has done nothing awful. If he had they wouldn't need to try and kill him.

Infact, Trump brought peace.

The DEI hire Secret Service Director should RESIGN after Saturday’s
catastrophic failure.

Secretary Mayorkas is responsible as well. I already tried to fire him after the
House passed my Articles of Impeachment.

We expect the Secret Service Director to appear in front of the Oversight
Committee on Monday.

By your logic. George Floyd was at fault for dying. He caused all that rioting because he died when he should have stayed alive so it could have stayed peaceful.

What a bad man Floyd is for dying.

Nope that's not my logic at all. I have no idea how you think the two are similar in anyway, George Floyd died, he didn't incite anything because he was dead. Trump lied to his followers telling them the election was rigged and he encouraged them to all go and protest at the capitol, he even said he'd join them (which he didn't of course)
