Though only UK and Ireland tour dates have so far been announced, there are plans are under way for Oasis to tour other continents outside of Europe later next year.

In a statement released moments ago, the English band confirms that they will be touring throughout Ireland and the UK starting in July next year.

The other world shows, it adds, have yet to be announced.

The venues have massive capacities though, Croke park isn't far off the capacity of Wembley, 82,000 and 2 gigs there.

My daughter was on to me this morning to see if I wanted to go with her, might have to do it ...........:hehe:

Vanessa 27-08-2024 01:12 PM

It's going to be really hard to get tickets. I'm not willing to pay more than 100 pounds. No way.

Wembley stadium is such a great venue for a concert. It's going to be epic!

Meh...

I'm not really a fan. They had a few catchy songs out when I was at school but since about 1998, they've been a 'once good' band.

I did get a laugh this morning when this woman on GBNEWS was swooning over the now aged Liam Gallagher. She said he was hot and still is hot. :D

The guy has always come across to me as a complete plank and not remotely good looking.

NEXT!

I actually don't think they are going to be that expensive, the cheapest ones anyway, when I looked at the prices for the Irish gigs it says they'll be starting €86.50

Blur need to announce some come back dates at the same time. Just for some old School rivalry.

Blur don't need a come back, they've played this year already, this month actually

Crimson Dynamo 27-08-2024 02:50 PM

Id laugh if all concerts had a strict mobile phone ban and people who came had
to watch the whole concert themselves D: and then tell people what it was like
using words in the days after the concert..

Just like it was 1994

That would put all the sub 30s gas on a peep :hee:

bots 27-08-2024 02:58 PM

£80 would be at the lower end of prices for these type of gigs these days

Obviously the closer you get to the stage the more money you will have to pay and then there will be vip and boxes that cost thousands

I was saying they should do a tour on the same dates.

Bring back the "Roll with it" vs "Country house" rivalry. It might even influence the next generation into some proper music.

I liked them both but preferred Oasis

Yes, me too.

So how would you rank the 3 big British bands of the 90s in a 1,2,3 order. Also including Radiohead?

Alf 27-08-2024 03:42 PM

And a question for Annie.

Oasis or The Roses?

That's like asking me to pick a favourite kid

Probably Roses if I had to pick because they were so instrumental in the Madchester scene. Without them, I don't think oasis would have been as big.....
